there's nothing similiar between the series spiritually. Wonder Years was a comedydrama set in period, with most the characters and stories being played straight. Boys meet world was a modern sitcom, that while has serious moments, there were also campy, cheesy, fourth wall breaking moments. their tones and themes were drastically different
