Added DiffLines:

* OperationJealousy: Olivia's going out with Duke to get "Sebastian" to fall for her. This goes about as badly as one might expect in a comedy, but does have the inadvertent benefit of directing Toby back to the HollywoodHomely Eunice when he sees her with "Sebastian" on a double date: as he points out to the others, Eunice has to be at least somewhat attractive if she's got a date with TheCasanova, so he was obviously right to be interested in her earlier when they were ribbing him about this attraction.

* BathroomStallOfOverheardInsults: Monique in the bathroom stall while Viola and Olivia are talking. A massive no-holds-barred CatFight ensues, albeit one without any male witnesses (other than maybe in the audience outside the fourth wall, that is).

* PaperThinDisguise: It's fairly obvious, when Sebastian and Viola are on screen together, that no-one could possibly confuse them for the same person. It's Lampshaded and justified in the beginning. No one at the school had seen Sebastian before. Afterwards, it's less plausible. In fact, the director commentary says that they had to cut a scene where a couple of people see Sebastian up-close before the game because it totally broke the WillingSuspensionOfDisbelief.

* WillingSuspensionOfDisbelief: The audience can pretend Viola looks like Sebastian. While she can pull off looking like a boy, looking like her brother takes a bit more suspension. It's a moot point because it's stated early on that no-one at Illyria has seen Sebastian, so looking like a boy is the only thing that counts.

* INeedToGoIronMyDog: "I've gotta go change my...feet."
* JerkassHasAPoint: While he was being rather a dick about it, Cornwall's coach did have the facts on the side in stating that girls generally don't have as much of the requisite physical prowess for sports that boys have. Of course, the science proving this deals with averages, meaning that some outlier gals (such as Viola, for one) do have the necessary prowess to compete with boys. What really makes the coach a jerk is that he wasn't even willing to let Viola and her friends try proving that any of them were outliers; Illyria's coach proves to be much more sensible and on the level about this upon discovering one of his first-stringers is a girl.

With the help of a Gay Best Friend, Viola becomes Sebastian!Viola, enters Illyria, and voilà!. It's not a perfect disguise but no one at the new school has met Sebastian so they don't know the difference and their parents are clueless because they're divorced and Illyria is a boarding school.Viola and Sebastian simply tell each that they are staying with the other,
Her roommate is Duke, the eventual LoveInterest, but Sebastian!Viola has problems at first because of Sebastian's permanent record (he's a troublemaker) and the fact that Viola is still a girl. With the sprinkling of MagicalQueer magic, Sebastian!Viola is accepted into Duke's group of friends but is still second string for the boys soccer team.

* AmbiguouslyGay: On the one hand, Viola's friend Paul is, well, a hairdresser with AlwaysCamp tastes and considerable talent for teaching her how to look and act like a sharp-dressed hunky guy. (The kind he'd like to date, perhaps?) On the other hand, he rarely appears in public without a couple of beautiful and intelligent gals as his arm candy, and they seem to be more than just friends with him.
