It was a massive hit when released in Korea, and has spawned an [[ForeignRemake American remake]], a Japanese drama series remake (''Ryokiteki na Kanojo''), a {{Bollywood}} version (''Ugly Aur Pagli''), a Tollywood version and a Chinese sequel named ''My Sassy Girl 2''.
