** Katherine plays this role for Danny. Since she's playing his adulterous soon-to-be-ex-wife.

* ManipulativeBastard: Both Maggie and Michael, the former of whom blackmails Danny into paying for her acting classes (and conveniently making sure he literally can't say "no" by claiming her class teaches her to scream "DIE!" whenever anyone does so; she also used a different accent than Danny wanted her to, knowing he can't complain in front of his "daughter"), and the latter of whom lets loose the crocodile tears in front of Palmer to manipulate Danny into taking the lot of them to Hawaii. One could argue even Katherine was as well, as when Danny takes her to get all-new clothes and a new hairstyle to help sell the lie, she immediately takes advantage, looking for the most expensive stuff she can see and threatening to fake being sick when Danny tries to stop her.

** Katherine, when she sees her old college nemesis Devil Adams.
** Everyone crossing the bridge when they hear a person below warn that the bridge they're crossing can only handle one persona at a time.

* SuckECheeses: J.D. [=McFunnigan's.=]. Danny complains that it stinks like kids' feet and skit-mark underwear.

* ButtMonkey: Eddie, Danny's cousin who's always the fall guy. He gets attacked by a pig, smacked numerous times by Katherine (given he was hitting on her), falls off a waterfall, gets his tongue pinched, gets threatened by a UFC fighter (who's engaged to his ex-girlfriend), has to fake perform CPR on a half-dead sheep, has to sleep in a bathtub and then wake yo to his hand getting pooped on by Katherine's son going to the bathroom.

* DidntThinkThisThrough: The whole Hawaii vacation was due to Michael's idea since he wanted to "swim with the dolphins". However come time to actually do it, it's revealed he can't swim much to Danny's irritation since he's paying for the whole trip.

* BackAlleyDoctor: One of Danny's patients comes to him to get corrected after going to one of these.

** Katherine plays this role for Danny. Since she's playing his adulterous soon-to-be-ex-wife, Eddie plays TheBeard for her as well.
** Danny also does this for Katherine in front of Devlin.

* FridgeLogic: If Palmer is able to tell when someone is telling the truth and when they're lying, how is it she isn't able to tell that Danny's whole "fake impending divorce" is a lie? Shouldn't she feel the slightest bit off?

* GroinAttack: Danny suffers one at the hands of a plank on a rope bridge when the two adjacent planks give way. Preferable to falling to one's death, but still quite painful.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: A comedic example. Michael defecates in the toilet while a sleeping Eddie’s hand is in the toilet. Considering Eddie has been little more than a burden to the other characters, and done nothing but cause more trouble, it’s hard to feel bad for him.

* ParentalSubstitute: Danny acts as this to the kids, he even teaches Michael how to swim.

* PowerWalk: Played with in one scene, when Danny, Katherine, Michael and Maggie are in the parking lot at J.D. [=McFunnigan's.=] A little kid being chased by his pregnant mom runs into the shot and he throws his drink at her. And all of this is happening in SloMo.

* GagBoobs: One of Danny and Katherine's patients, a woman whose left breast implant exploded inside her chest and needs to be repaired, suffers from this.

* CastingGag: Danny's fiancee at the beginning of the movie is played by Adam Sandler's wife in real life.
