Added DiffLines:

* ChuteSabotage: Freddy Krueger performs an on-the-spot and very unsubtle example at the mid-point of the movie. As his victim descends helplessly from a parachute, he casually and nonchalantly begins cutting the straps to the parachute with his bladed glove. To add insult to injury, after the victim plummets, Freddy [[OffscreenTeleportation appears directly below on the ground]], pushing a bed of spikes where he'll land.

* LighterAndSofter: While ANightmareOnElmStreet5TheDreamChild at least tried to go back to a more serious horror roots of the first few elm street movies, this movie is completely campy and silly and almost feels like a parody of the elm street movies.

In "ten years from now", Freddy has managed to kill all the children in Springwood, sans one whom he has left alive to aid in his plan to break out from there, so that he can continue killing where-ever he chooses to.

* ImpossiblyCompactFolding: While the teens are cruising around the abandoned Springwood, Carlos unfolds a road map to see where they are. It just keeps unfolding and unfolding until it fills up the whole van, with a part of the map saying "You're fucked!". This is then revealed to be a nightmare.

* FinalGirl: Maggie Burroughs/[[spoiler: Katherine Krueger]].
** Her actual name is Maggie Burnham. She is identified as this in the screenplay, Fangoria's Movie Magazine about the film at the time, and it can be seen on a bottle of prescription sleeping pills in the film.

Added DiffLines:

* GallowsHumor: Freddy is known to use BlackHumor so much, it may come as a surprise [[FridgeBrilliance (maybe)]] that he can take it as much as he can dish it out. In the FinalBattle, he remarks - after being hurt - that he "forgot what it was like to be human" and after [[spoiler: Maggie takes his glove, he suggests that she "let daddy show you how to use it." (She declines.)]]
