* ''Synopsis'': When Odin took a half-Jotun baby out of a temple in Jotunheim, he wasn't the only one to claim to be the child's father. As his mother, Laufey King cheerfully refused to settle any dispute and soon there was at least one person in every realm who laid their claim as Loki's father. Except for the mortal creatures of Midgard, that is. Tony Stark thinks this needs to be rectified. And Loki Tonyson has a nice ring to it.

** Furthermore, a repeated complaint is that the villains come off as omniscient and, at times, omnipotent. The WordOfGod response is to point to the fact that they lose every single open engagement they get into with the heroes and that HYDRA are deeply embedded in the highest echelons of the most powerful spy agency the world has ever seen, of course, they're practically omniscient. Not, of course, that this saves them in the end.

* Comments: At 78 chapters and over 780,000 words long at the time of writing (and that's just the first book...), written over a period of just under four years, this is not a fic to be taken on lightly. It starts out as a light-hearted and somewhat sappy fic to begin with, before changing gears around chapter 11, quickly [[GrowingTheBeard growing]] into a far darker and more complex story than the premise would have you believe. The result is an epic which emphasises [[ButterflyEffect the responses to the premise and the effects those changes have]] and [[CharacterDevelopment how various characters evolve in response to the challenges presented]]. It's also equipped with a ''vast'' ChekhovsArmoury, and apparently innocuous things, apparent inconsistencies, can and will come back up to 74 chapters later as matters of plot significance and is entirely unafraid to push the boundaries of the T-rating as far as they'll go with some very dark chapters, and a growing onset of BlackAndGreyMorality. It pulls no punches, with the author killing off [[spoiler: Luna Lovegood, Arthur Weasley and Harry himself in chapter 70. While the latter pulls a Lazarus at lightning speeds, the former two are most definitely dead.]] However, there are plenty of [[BreatherEpisode Breather Episodes]] in between the serious action/plot heavy chapters, and they, along with a LemonyNarrator and an unspoken belief in heroes, prevent the fic from sliding towards GrimDark territory.
** It's not perfect, however - entire chapters go by without much, if anything, happening and asides are dedicated to relatively meaningless things. In other words, the author is rather in love with the sound of his own voice and doesn't have a proper beta to cut out some of the more extraneous material. As a whole the author is more preoccupied with CharacterDevelopment and WorldBuilding than developing the plot, at least at first - the first proper battle, while it is truly epic in scale, isn't until chapter 44. In other words, this is not a fic for a light read. It is best binged over a weekend, and most likely to be enjoyed by those with patience.

The story emphasises [[ButterflyEffect the responses to the premise and the effects those changes have]] and [[CharacterDevelopment how various characters mature and change in response to the challenges presented]], introducing a truly menacing version of [[AdaptationalBadass Lucius]] [[MagnificentBastard Malfoy]], who allies with HYDRA and a {{Necromancer}} by the name of Gravemoss. And those are just the immediate threats... However, plenty of {{BreatherEpisode}}s in between the serious action/plot heavy chapters, a LemonyNarrator and an unspoken belief in heroes prevent it from sliding towards GrimDark territory.
** It should also be noted that the first book is 75 chapters and over 750,000 words long at the time of writing, with the author's stated intention to build a universe of his own (sequels, prequels and spinoffs have been mentioned) and while, there are some truly spectacular action scenes, plenty of twists and turns in the plot and liberally sprinkled with humour that occasionally verges on [[CrackFic crack]], the first proper battle isn't until chapter 44, with the author being more preoccupied with CharacterDevelopment and WorldBuilding.
