It focuses on Alexandra Quick, a Muggle-born [[spoiler:(or ''not'')]] girl who goes to Charmbridge Academy and discovers a lot about not only magic and the wizarding world, but about herself as well.

* ''Comments:'' There is some very good insight offered into plenty of canon characters, with a good deal of teasing of things that may have been and some strong writing. Unfortunately, the story contains some continuity errors about characters due to being OutdatedByCanon (it was written a year before the publication of ''Literature/HarryPotterAndTheHalfBloodPrince), such as how long it took the hat to sort Voldemort and some of Snape's family background. It also never follows up on its last story marked "to be continued" (although the constantly changing cast of characters doesn't make this so bad). However, neither of these provides a major determent to enjoying a story following what house so many of the new kids want to be in, why, and where they end up.

* ”Comments:” A beautifully written tale of an abused and neglected Harry Potter who turns to magic as an escape. It slowly builds as Harry grows into his power and affects the world around him, culminating in a fateful day that remakes the world. Overall, the worldbuilding is top-notch. The author pulls in characters that saw only minor roles in the canon story (such as Daphne Greengrass) and fleshes them out. The author alters events and the story shows how they branch into new events that ricochet and resonate off each other. Highly recommended.
