* "Comments": This author writes some of the best fics that this troper had ever seen in general, her stories are engaging and emotional and her writing style is simple yet eloquent and it leaves you hanging on to every line and very much excited about what comes next without the need for cliffhangers. Her characterization is on point and the player character's name and physical description is left to the reader in a way that would allow them to imagine their own character without it feeling distant or inconsistent.

''[[http://archiveofourown.org/works/5215334/chapters/12024020 The Unending Wake]]'' by harellanart * Recommended by Mandichaos * Pairing: Female Lavellan/Solas * ''Synopsis'': Solas has won and his long time enemy, the cold and ruthless Inquisitor Vir Lavellan, has been defeated. However, as he begins to rebuild the world for his people, he discovers that the world he destroyed was not exactly what he had thought. (Trespasser spoilers; illustrations included) * ''Comments'': Tagged as a "time travel au" and that's an oversimplification of this brilliant fix-it that explores the possible consequences of what tearing down the Veil might have really done to a romanced Solas. Saying too much more would spoil it, but reading this brought (favorable) comparisons to "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and the idea of revealing a romance backwards. If you're going to write a time travel AU, this is how you do it. On top of the great story, harellanart includes gorgeous black and white illustrations in every chapter. A must-read for any fans of Lavellan/Solas, even though the story doesn't seem to start out that way.

The children of the Wardens, Champion, Inquisitor, and a few others team up to prove once and for all that they are, in fact, related to their parents. And possibly save the world. * ''Comments'': It's mildly AU, with a few minor deviations in canon (such as Kieran retaining the Old God soul) that add up in a fun way.

She knew what was out there. Knew with an absolute certainty of what was out there. - She, and a few girls took some old tarot cards, a case of coolers to the abandoned house on the hill. It looked like something straight out of a horror movie. Lily thought that it was such a cliche, that none of the real monsters called this place their lair. She was wrong. So very, very wrong." ** More specifically, a [[TabletopGame/HunterTheVigil hunter]] from the the {{TabletopGame/New World Of Darkness}} is stolen away by the [[JackassGods True Fae]] and remade into an almost-unique three-kithed [[TabletopGame/ChangelingTheLost changeling]], only to escape into Thedas with the quiet help of [[spoiler:Solas]]. ''[[http://archiveofourown.org/works/2760119/chapters/6188690 Apotheosis]]'' by keeperlavellan * Recommended by: sloth4 * ''Pairings'': F!Lavellan/Solas * ''Synopsis'': After Wisdom had gone, I hadnít been sure that Solas would ever return. In time, he did, offering no more explanation than to say, I could hardly abandon you now. Even then the word seemed to catch in my ear. Now. Maybe once before and perhaps one day soon, but not just yet. On that point I had no illusions. Solas was not a man to promise forever, though he was afraid of dying alone. * ''Comments'': A nuanced and in-depth exploration of Solas's romance. This story convinced me that the only proper playthrough had a Solas romance, it's beautifully done.
