This both illustrates Princess Celestia' love for Twilight, as she immediately sets out to find her and causes the Princess great guilt for mistrusting her sister when she finds out what really happened.

* StudentTeacherRomance: Averted by occurring several years after the [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic series]] ends and upgrading Celestia's and Twilight's relationship to a sort of mentoring friendship. Celestia does attempt to use this as reason not to admit her feelings but Luna points out that this simply insults Twilight's status as a mature adult.
