She remarks that if the Grey Warden can't find a use for this warrior, then they should help release him out of ''mercy''. Alistair is pretty shocked by Morrigan's display of compassion. She responds to this shock by stating that they should lock ''Alistair'' in the cage in Sten's place instead, which Alistair dryly notes is ''far'' more in-character for her.
