** Maddie with Vlad (rich) and Jack (poor/middleclass) although Maddie appears to have married Jack before Vlad became rich and is disgusted by his attempts to woo her now she clearly would have choosen Jack over Vlad's money even in other situations.
** More incidental Danny with Valerie (poorish) and Sam (rich). Since by missing the right episodes Sam doesn't appear wealthy, Valerie and Danny broke up before either Sam or Danny admit to being more than just friends, and Sams wealth is hardly a factor in Danny's decision this is not Danny choosing money over love. Valeries lack of wealth does factor in tp who Danny ends up with but this is because she blames ghosts for this.

* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The show is actually pretty good about balancing the main and/or important characters between genders. We get the males Danny, Tucker, and Jack. The female range are Sam, Valerie, Jazz, and Maddie--none of whom fits in the stereotypical TheChick role and are strong female characters in their own rights. If you want, you can also add in males Lancer and Dash, but slightly balanced with Paulina. Though this only counts for the good guys. The villains have more males then females.

** The Fright Knight suffered from a mild case of this. In his first episode, he's the most powerful and terrifying villain Danny had ever faced; in later episodes, he's always relegated to the role of TheDragon. He's still just as powerful as he always was, but ''seems'' weaker in comparison to [[EvilOverlord Pariah Dark]] (and later [[FutureMeScaresMe Dark Danny]]).

* TruthInTelevision: Vlad can't buy the Packers because "...the city of Green Bay...won't sell them to me!" The Packers franchise is collectively owned by most of the population of Green Bay, and their original contract (which was grandfathered in and isn't allowed anymore) specifies that no single person can ever own more than 5 percent of the team and that the only way to change the ownership by-laws is to disband the team.

* StrawVegetarian: Goth girl Sam tries to get meat banned from the school café in favor of her parody vegetarian diet of turf (yes turf, as in grass) -- the result is mass protests from both sides. In this case, though, the trope is invoked as one half of an affectionate parody of MeatVsVeggies.
