** When asked if Fish would ever make a sequel to Fez, [[http://www.gamerevolution.com/news/fish-fez-2-never-going-to-happen-27731 he lashed out at them to stop asking since a sequel would never happen.]] Later on, Fish went the extra mile by [[http://www.gamerevolution.com/news/phil-fish-selling-polytron-and-rights-to-fez-27879 selling the rights to Fez and his former game studio]].
* The creator of memeticly popular freeware game ''Flappy Bird'' had one less than a week after his game was released on the App Store and was downloaded millions of times within a few hours. Theories abound, but the most abundant one is that he never intended and simply couldn't handle his sudden popularity and the money he was earning (not to mention the death threats that tend to come with a sudden surge in popularity and exposure.) After less than two weeks of being out, he pulled the game from the app store and up and vanished. Despite what the rumors say, it was not because of copyright infringement with Nintendo.

** It's also worth mentioning that he married and then divorced during his surge of popularity and lost his father around the time he sold Mojang. Despite his claims that the fame stressed him out too much, he didn't seem to have a similar reaction to the money, as he continued to live very well off. To his credit, though, he acknowledged that he went back on his promise to never sell Mojang to a "big name" like Microsoft and offered his apologies for the whole situation.

* Ever want to see how the creator of ''VideoGame/SonicExe'' reacted to his creepypasta being moved to the trollpasta wiki? Here's the link: http://trollpasta.wikia.com/wiki/Sonic.exe?page=8 Below the story is his reaction.
* Creator/{{Konami}} seemed to have fallen into a death-spiral/forged a corporate suicide pact/collectively lost their goddamned minds in 2015; they basically forced Creator/HideoKojima out by rushing out ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolidV'' and cancelling his upcoming ''VideoGame/SilentHills'' project that most agreed would've revitalized the franchise, have completely shut down all AAA game development save for ''Pro Evolution Soccer'', resorted to draconian business practices that could see seasoned veterans of game creation relegated to menial labor like ''assembly line work'', and have refocused almost all of their efforts on Mobile and Pachinko game development, the latter of which they've lashed some of their most treasured [=IPs=] (like ''Franchise/{{Castlevania}}'' and ''Franchise/MetalGear'') to. While some of these decisions are mitigated to their Japanese audience who will at least get the pachislot games, most of their Western fanbase has been calling for the heads of every executive and marketing guy Konami has, and Konami has done nothing to mitigate this other than dig themselves further into this hole. And sometimes, it doesn't even work with the Japanese: Their trailer of their Pachinko with ''Franchise/MetalGear'' (specifically, fan favorite ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid3SnakeEater'' with graphics lovingly rendered in Kojima's FOX Engine) theme received so many dislikes even from their Japanese audience that at a time it ranked as the ''3rd'' most disliked video on YouTube.

* The final boss of ''VideoGame/EarthBound'' was inspired by a traumatic experience Shigesato Itoi had during his childhood, of seeing what he thought was a rape scene in a movie as a [[HarmfulToMinors very young child]]. The final boss's dialogue ("[[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything It hurts... I feel... happy...]]") was based on dialogue Itoi recalled from the movie. Since Itoi couldn't program, he had to read off the dialogue he wrote to a friend, who typed it in. They were driven ''to tears'' while writing Giygas.
