* {{Margaret Cho}} spiraled into drug and alcohol addiction after the cancellation of her show "All-American Girl", where she was not only forced to lose weight to play the part of herself but also simultaneously criticized for being "too Asian" and "not Asian enough." She wrote about her experiences in the book "I'm The One That I Want", and her stage show version of the book served to re-launch her career. Her experiences with Hollywood and addiction have since become a regular motif in her stand-up.

This is primarily blamed on a debilitating illness that deafened him and left him mentally scarred and the war that left his life in ruins.

* Creator/{{Konami}} seemed to have fallen into a death-spiral in 2015; they basically forced Creator/HideoKojima out by rushing out ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolidV'' and cancelling his upcoming ''VideoGame/SilentHills'' project that most agreed would've revitalized the franchise, have completely shut down all AAA game development save for ''VideoGame/ProEvolutionSoccer'', resorted to draconian business practices that could see seasoned veterans of game creation relegated to menial labor like ''assembly line work'', and have refocused almost all of their efforts on Mobile and Pachinko game development, the latter of which they've lashed some of their most treasured IPs (like ''Franchise/{{Castlevania}}'' and ''Franchise/MetalGear'') to. While some of these decisions are mitigated to their Japanese audience who will at least get the pachislot games, most of their Western fanbase has been calling for the heads of every executive and marketing guy Konami has, and Konami has done nothing to mitigate this other than dig themselves further into this hole.

* {{Creator/Gallagher}}'s stand-up career has never recovered from his previous fame in the 80s, where he was still viewed as more of a novelty act than anything else; over the years, his routines have become decidedly more racist and misogynist, and [[RantInducingSlight his vocal criticisms of basic, inconsequential things that modern stand-up comedians do]] (such as talk about themselves on stage or drink water) haven't even led to him being perceived as "edgy" or "controversial" -- instead, most people in the industry either pity or mock him. * TV presenter and journalist Vanessa Feltz, famous for TV chat shows and her stint on Radio/ChrisEvans' groundbreaking ''Series/TheBigBreakfast'', entered ''Celebrity Big Brother'' only to completely collapse under the pressures of being on camera continually and having nowhere to retreat to. Fellow contestants repeatedly signalled alarm at her erratic behaviour and clear mental distress, but the TV company involved did not pull her out until she'd had a pretty near total breakdown on set. Archive film remains very uncomfortable viewing. Interestingly, Vanessa now works in radio covering Radio/SarahKennedy's old slot. Which some commentators consider potentially interesting.
