Easily the most popular voice actor to work with Creator/TheOceanGroup, Scott [=McNeil=] (September 15, 1962-) is the Canadian equivalent to Creator/SteveBlum, Creator/CrispinFreeman and Creator/PatrickSeitz... IN AMERICA, and Creator/BanjoGinga in Japan. He's usually cast as a big guy or a villain, but he also does some quirky and funny roles too. His most known roles are probably Dinobot, Waspinator and Rattrap, Dr. Wily and Protoman, Piccolo in the early episodes, and Duo Maxwell. He reached MemeticMutation status fairly quickly, faster than his U.S. counterparts.

* ShipperOnDeck: Does occasionally do this in Conventions such as this little quote of his on Koga and Ayame from Manga/InuYasha namely "I just wanna pull Koga aside and have a word with him... I would go... 'Koga... you got this thing in your head that Kagome will be your mate! SHE'S UNATTAINABLE DUDE!' Then you have beautiful sweet lovely Ayame going... 'Oh please will you marry me?' (At this point a fan shouts out "Yes!" and gets a laugh. Scott attempts to ignore it) and I am like dumbass... go there!"

Scott does a wide variety of voices in his work (again, see WesternAnimation/BeastWars), but also tends to have two particular voices that are unmistakably his: a deep, gravelly, growling voice (ref. Piccolo, Koga), occasionally with snarl for particularly monstrous-looking roles (ref. Dinobot, Bale), or a snarky young, cocky-sounding voice (ref. Duo, Rattrap).

His favorite voice actors are Creator/JimCummings, Creator/FrankWelker, Creator/RobPaulsen, Creator/MauriceLaMarche, Creator/MelBlanc and Creator/GaryChalk (who voiced Optimus on WesternAnimation/BeastWars). His favorite characters out of those he's played are Duo and Hohenheim, because they resemble himself as a young man and an adult, respectively. His favorite show he ever worked on is WesternAnimation/BeastWars, which he claims is one of the few shows he's done where he actively made it a point to turn on the TV and watch every episode when it aired. In fairness, it probably helps that he voiced half the cast.

cast. In particular, he considers Dinobot to be his favourite character; and he takes no shame in admitting that he has two characters in the Transformers Hall of Fame (Dinobot and Waspinator). His panels at conventions are also quite entertaining; from the various disgusting concoctions that attendants have Scott devour to his overall very casual demeanor, the man does great stand-up and his panels tend to become very comedic.

Added DiffLines:

* RunningGag: Many for his appearances at conventions;
** He always ends up eating some kind of odd food, which has been a running gag for a while.
** He's also mentioned laugh gas a few times, too.
** He always does at least one voice at a panel.
** The odd, bizzare things he's done and had happen also tend to come up (like him being the Grand Omnipotent Dictator for Life of his company...which was abbreviated, due to lack of space, as him being the G.O.D., and the almost amicable relationship he has with customs).

** He also once talked about how he has played Def Jam: Fight for NY before (though he does one of the character voices you can pick for your character). But he mainly commented on how he was surprised on how you get to do an awful lot of shopping in that game.
