* TakeThat: Gave a playful one to Creator/StephenFry. When Fry was recording the audiobook for ''Literature/HarryPotterAndTheChamberOfSecrets'', he had trouble pronouncing the phrase "Harry pocketed it." Finally he phoned Rowling to ask if she could revise the book to say "Harry put it in his pocket." Rowling considered a moment and replied "[[BluntYes No]]" and then included the phrase "Harry pocketed it" word for word ''in each of the next four books of the series''.

* InternetBackdraft: Native American fans who are concerned that her Ilvermorny series appropriates their culture, as well as some non-Native Americans who saw it as poorly researched with regard to American history and politics, tend to voice their opinion online. There is also a meta-backdraft from fans who dislike the idea that she might be somewhat racist, as racism is something she got famous speaking out against.

* InternetBackdraft: Got this for her Ilvermorny series, as many Native American fans felt that it appropriated their culture, and some non-Native Americans saw it as poorly researched with regard to American history and politics.

* NobleBigot: Her Ilvermorny series was [[https://thegeekanthropologist.com/2016/07/08/magical-maladies-and-injuries-cultural-appropriation-in-j-k-rowlings-ilvermorny/ full of appropriation]] and [[http://io9.gizmodo.com/j-k-rowlings-history-of-magic-in-north-america-was-a-t-1764311530 poorly researched writing about America]]. It got a YouKnowImBlackRight from many of her Native American fans.
--->'''Dr. Adrienne Keene:''' You can't just claim and take a living tradition of marginalized people. That's straight up colonialism/appropriation

* MightyWhitey: Happily steals motives from Native American mythology and turns it into something else. At least when she took them from European mythology they pretty much stayed the same.
