A new version of the series will launch in 2017 starring Daisy Johnson and focus on the aftermath of ComicBook/InhumansVsXMen in which Daisy leads a team of Inhumans (Kamala Khan, ComicBook/MoonGirlAndDevilDinosaur, ComicBook/Karnak and Inferno) while the royal family head into space to learn the origins of the Terrigen Mists.

!!Tropes for the 2017 series:

* AdaptationDistillation: Much like the previous ComicBook/AgentsOfSHIELD comic, the book is largely based on the show's version of the Secret Warriors rather than the earlier group. Daisy is the sole returning member, while instead of being Nick Fury's secret weapon the team is a group of Inhumans formed to protect other Inhumans. Besides that though, Daisy is the only member of the show's team with everyone else AdaptedOut, replaced instead with random Inhumans from the comics.
* BrokenPedestal: Solicits indicate this will be part of the reason for the team uniting; after Steve Rogers has been victim to a CosmicRetcon that turned him into HYDRA's secret weapon, Daisy and Kamala are shocked into action, due to both holding deep respect for Captain America (Daisy having worked closely with him in the past).
* ScheduleSlip: Originally set to tie-in with ResurreXion, the book ended up being curiously left out of solicits before being re-announced as part of the Secret Empire event, complete with a new premise.
* WolverinePublicity: This will be the third ongoing book involving Kamala Khan, including her own ongoing and the ComicBook/Champions2016 series. All three are placing Kamala as the lead character (with Secret Warriors having her share that role with Daisy).

!!Tropes for the 2017 series:
* UnexpectedCharacter: A few people raised eyebrows when they saw the new roster. Quake was obvious, Karnak makes sense. But Ms. Marvel, who only recently founded the Champions? The 9 year old Moon Girl and her definitely not stealthy Devil Dinosaur? Those aren't characters who you'd expect to be on an espionage team.

* BadassBoast: Many, many times. Probably the most audacious example is [[spoiler: Phobos, the child god of fear, delivering a Reason You Suck Speech to Normon Osborn, the former GreenGoblin after he offered to bribe him with toy trucks. After Phobos has well and truly messed up Osborn with his mind, he delivers two amazing parting lines. You don't f*ck with Nick Fury, and you DO NOT f*ck with the god of fear. Made even better by the fact that Osborn starts the exchange by threatening him and saying that he's in too deep for a child.]]

* BreakoutCharacter: Compared to the others, Daisy is this. The rest of the team has faded into obscurity, but Daisy has became a fairly well-known member of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s regular agents, was briefly its director, and has made the jump into the Franchice/MarvelCinematicUniverse as one of the leads in Series/AgentsOfSHIELD (and, arguably, the main character of said show). Now with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. introducing the MCU's own version of the Secret Warriors, Daisy is the only member from the comic in the team, while the rest are CanonForeigner originals (at least, so far).
