* AllThereInTheManual: According to ''The Resurrection of Doom'' (a sequel graphic novel published a year after the movie's release), his real name is Baron Von Rotten, and was a Toon who frequently played cartoon villains until an on-set accident from an exploding grenade left him thinking he was truly villainous after being put in two week coma.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Smart Ass has some trains of this. Mainly he seems to care about the other members of the Toon Patrol, being the first one to warn them about what will happen to them if they do not control their laughter.

** When they break into Eddie's apartment looking for Roger, Smart-Ass rants at all the others for laughing. At the bar, Smart-Ass laughs right along with them.

* NotSoAboveItAll: You might think because of her more in-control FemmeFatale personality and the fact that she's more of a "mature" toon that Jessica Rabbit isn't quite as looney as the others. The movie sets her up like that, and then wittily breaks down the assumption. The fact that she ''married'' a goofball rabbit like Roger kind of already says this. Her reactions to the Dip and her brief scene in the short, "Rollercoaster Rabbit" show off her more expressive side.
