Driver of '''Mr. Grimm''', a motorbike. TheGrimReaper himself, who either seeks Calypso's soul or something related to his addiction to souls. Appears in all games, though not always is the same character story-wise. In ''4'', he's replaced by a skeletal pirate named ''Captain Grimm'', who plays largely the same. In ''Black'', he's a [[TheVietnamWar Vietnam]] veteran that has become [[IAmAHumanitarian cannibal]] after being forced to eat his friend during their time as [=POWs=], and enters the tournament seeking revenge on the Vietnamese officer that drove him to do it. The reboot is another reinvention: Daniel Grimm is a stuntman turned gang leader seeking to [[SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong go back to the past and save his father from that tragic stunt accident.]]

* TokenGoodTeammate: While a murderer by admission, Mr. Grimm in PS3 game is the only playable character with a benevolent wish in mind, and he speaks of his past actions with an air of disgust.

* BigNo: Minion's ''Twisted Metal 2'' ending.

* BigNo: Minion's ''Twisted Metal 2'' ending. Also Mr. Grimm's "Lost Ending."

* TheCasanova: Though it's unclear if he's one, but he does have a harem of beautiful babes in bikinis in the first game's live-action endings and ''Head-On''. And apparently enjoys their company.

* [[{{ChickMagnet}} Chick & Stud Magnet]]: He has a harem of beautiful babes in bikinis and shirtless guys toting guns in the first game's live-action endings and ''Head-On''. And apparently enjoys their company.

* MysteriousPast
** A comic tie-in for ''2'' revealed a large amount of info on his past. He was an unbalanced demolition derby driver with suicidal tendencies in life, and after the car accident, managed to [[BadassDriver outdrive]] [[LightningBruiser Minion]] in Hell. The Devil allowed him to return to Earth, in exchange for Calypso running an annual contest, sending both drivers and bystanders alike to Hell.

* {{Expy}}: Much like many of the other characters are based in comic book characters, the Preacher Jebediah may be based on Jesse Custer from the comic book (wait for it) ''ComicBook/{{Preacher}}''. Never mind the obvious correlation between the two ([[CaptainObvious being preachers]]), there's also the fact that Jesse is [[DemonicPossession possessed by a]] [[HybridMonster demon/angel hybrid]] in a disaster that kills all of the people in his congregation and destroys his church. Sound familiar?

* WhyDontYouJustShootHim?: As opposed to most other drivers using wishes to kill Calypso or wish the tournament away (which naturally almost never goes right), Angela is genre-savvy enough to wish for a million dollars first, and ''then'' assassinate Calypso thereafter.

thereafter. In the "Lost Ending" though, this fatally backfires on her.

* BigNo: After Calypso cruelly takes his life away after having just regained it.
* FamilyMan: Has a wife and child that he left behind; he seeks life once more so he can be with them.

* CruelAndUnusualDeath: In their ending, after Calypso "grants" their wish, they test it out by jumping off a skyscraper...slowly realizing the folly of their actions as they plummet to their deaths. Bystanders crowd around them and murmur as their corpses lie there.

* BaitAndSwitch: Sweet Tooth plays along and agrees to Zanita's conditions, thinking he's going to have sex with her only to realize at the last minute that she's ''actually'' making him take driving classes as an alternative to paying his hefty parking tickets.
* BigDamnHeroes: She manages to make the MonsterClown Sweet Tooth, the crazy guy staging the tournament, do a little bit of community service by taking up driving lessons. And she didn't even get screwed over whatsoever unlike other cops (except Quatro).

* GoodCop: Does a parking attendant count as a cop? She did manage to make the MonsterClown Sweet Tooth, the crazy guy staging the tournament, do a little bit of community service by taking up driving lessons. And she didn't even get screwed over whatsoever unlike other cops (except Quatro).
* TakeAThirdOption: Her ending has her giving parking summons to Sweet Tooth worth millions. She does however promises him that she'll clear the summons if he did a little community service. Rather than paying the fines or shutting her up some way, Sweet Tooth decided to do some community service in the form of driving lessons.

* GenreSavvy: Jamie in ''2''. She came prepared to take advantage of Calypso's word-twisting in order to save her brother, who was trapped in space.

* GenreSavvy: His ending, enough said. [[spoiler: Calypso tries to tempt him into asking for something, but Shepherd is well aware of his tendency to corrupt a wish's intent, and simply arrest him on the spot.]]

* GenreSavvy: Like Agent Shepard in ''Head-On'', he doesn't make a wish and instead [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome outright tells Sweet Tooth he's under arrest]].
