* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler:when Swayzak infected him in the fifth stage of the Trapped in Hyperspace game. He even had a cute little EvilLaugh.]]

** As TOM 2, he saved the Absolution from crashing into the Earth and rescued Sara from Swayzak. TOM 3, he rescued Sara yet again and kicked a space pirate's ass with a fork.

** As TOM 2, he saved the Absolution from crashing into the Earth and rescued Sara saved the ship from Swayzak. TOM 3, he rescued Sara yet again and kicked a space pirate's ass with a fork.

* TrueCompanions: He's close enough to SARA that he's willing to risk his own life when Swayzak infects her and puts her (and by extension, the entire ship) in danger.

* TrueCompanions: He's close enough to SARA that he's willing to risk his own life when Swayzak infects takes her place and puts her (and by extension, the entire ship) ship in danger.

* CrazyPrepared: While he's no pushover in his debut, at least he's still just an instinctive AlmightyIdiot TOM 2 can lure into a trap. After returning with newfound sentience due to absorbing TOM 1 [[spoiler:and TOM 4]], he goes out of his way to disable as many of TOM 5's options as possible before attacking him.

%%* AIIsACrapshoot: He's a computer virus, of course he's this trope!

%%* BadassBaritone: Even deeper than TOM's voice, on the same par as Moltar.
%%* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Hasn't been seen since ''Trapped in Hyperspace'', although the official Toonami Tumblr has hinted at him returning.

to:

%%* * BadassBaritone: Even deeper than TOM's voice, on the same par as Moltar.
%%* * ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Hasn't been seen since ''Trapped in Hyperspace'', Hyperspace'' and its game or the ''Rez'' review, although the official Toonami Tumblr has hinted at him returning.returning. Jason [=DeMarco=] however once responded to a Tweet asking about him with a very mean response, calling him "[[CreatorBacklash dumb]] [[OldShame shit]]".

%%* DeadpanSnarker: He's very snarky right here:
%%-->'''Swayzak:''' Good luck, ''hero''.

to:

%%* * CrazyPrepared: Be honest. How many villains have you seen with a trident/pitchfork weapon?
*
DeadpanSnarker: He's very snarky right here:
%%-->'''Swayzak:''' Good
mostly in the game, but the on air segment had him sarcastically tell TOM "Good luck, ''hero''.hero."

%%* GlowingEyesOfDoom
%%* EvilGloating: Does this a lot.

to:

%%* GlowingEyesOfDoom
%%*
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Evil and glowing. ByTheLightsOfTheirEyes was done once or twice in the game (ex. the final boss battle with him)
*
EvilGloating: Does this a lot.lot both on-air and online, with the online being the most cheesy.

%%* EvilLaugh: Belts out a few throughout the T.I.E while taunting TOM.
%%* EvilSoundsDeep
%%* {{Jerkass}}: TOM lampshades it.
%%* LeanAndMean: From what we can see of his body.
%%* LightIsNotGood: He's bright orange, in contrast to TOM's dark blue.
* {{Pride}}: Thinks he can't be defeated. That isn't true.
%%* PutOnABus: After ''Trapped in Hyperspace''. His cameo in SARA's review of ''Rez'' doesn't count.
%%* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Well, maybe not black, but certainly red (or orange).

to:

%%* ** Taken UpToEleven in the game, in which he had the lovely experience of ''getting more dialogue'', and was voiced by the guy who'd later sing "[[Music/FlightOfTheConchords Bowie's in Space]]."

TOM. [[spoiler:He lost it when he infected TOM.]]
* EvilSoundsDeep: When Michael Dorn voiced him. Jemaine Clement used his normal voice, although you can still hear this trope in use a bit.
*
{{Jerkass}}: TOM lampshades it.
%%*
lampshaded him being a jerk, and he really wanted TOM to give up trying to save the Absolution.
*
LeanAndMean: From what we can see His full body in stage 5 of his body.
%%*
the game. What the heck. He looks more like a woman then an obviously male computer virus character.
*
LightIsNotGood: He's bright orange, red, in contrast to TOM's dark blue.
blue. [[spoiler:Well, at least, until TOM gets infected by him.]]
* {{Pride}}: Thinks he can't be defeated. defeated, he even outright states it at the end of level 2 ("You'll never defeat us!") That isn't true.
%%*
true, [[spoiler:well if TOM hadn't been disinfected ("I couldn't believe it was him!" during the fifth episode of the on-air series,) it would've been true.]]
*
PutOnABus: After ''Trapped in Hyperspace''. His cameo in SARA's review of ''Rez'' doesn't count. \n%%* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Well, maybe Jason's not black, but certainly red (or orange).keen on bringing him back, according to a 2016 Twitter reply.

%%* VoiceOfTheLegion: Definitely sounds like one.
%%* YellowEyesOfSneakiness

* TeenGenius: The ship is going to crash into Earth after it's infected by a sentient virus who hates everyone onboard's guts. What does TOM do? He has the brilliant idea to hook up to the systems and gets a virtual ship and shoots the crap out of the virus.

* BeneloventAI: Her purpose is to help out with the broadcast.

back. He completely loses it, however, once you beat stage 5 in the game. "[[BigNo Noooooooooooo!]] [[BigWhy Whyyyyyyy?]]"
* VocalEvolution: He has a different voice when he cameos in SARA's review of ''Rez''. This is actually the voice he had in the flash game tie-in.

* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Nothing is known of his whereabouts after TOM took over as the host of Toonami, and unfortunately so far, the production crew has expressed no interest in explaining what's up with Toonami's first host nowadays. This includes other Space Ghost spin-off media such as the rebooted Cartoon Planet. The poor guy just kinda vanished altogether, and a return to Toonami in any form seems unlikely after [[ActorExistenceFailure the untimely death of his voice actor]]. [[InMemoriam Toonami's memorial commercial for his voice actor]] didn't explain in-universe as to why Moltar stopped hosting Toonami, but does give a permanent excuse for why he won't ''return'' in that something came up on his home planet that requires him to go home and he doesn't know when he'll come back.

* VillainProtagonist: He's a villain from ''Space Ghost'', though his actions while hosting Toonami are borderline AntiVillain or at least shows he has hobbies beyond being evil. Judging by his [[ActorExistenceFailure final message]] to the more heroic TOM, he likes teasing him, but apparently hasn't really done anything overly malicious to him other than being an annoyance.

TOM does have a bit of respect for the guy though, wishing him the best of luck when Moltar reveals he's going back home forever.
