* PowerCrutch: The Immoral Rosary that Hector gives him in the first chapter allows him to fight on roughly the same level as Ledah, despite having only just become a Grim Angel. When he loses it in the battle with the Aghart, he's much weaker, but still stronger than Fia and Lina.

* DubNameChange: In the Japanese script, Cierra nicknames her Millefeuille. Probably to save space, {{Atlus}} changed this to "Gateau", a generic French word for cake instead of a specific French dessert. As a bonus, it also sounds similar to "gato", the Spanish word for "cat".

As over the past two games in the series, Hector is shown having brought about the utter ruin of an innocent WideEyedIdealist, narrowly avoiding a TheDogBitesBack from said WideEyedIdealist-turned-MagnificentBastard via interference by some trusty, well-meaning [[UnwittingPawn Unwitting Pawns]] ([[spoiler:the Royal Army]] in ''YggdraUnion''), abusing his test subjects and sending the gods' most devout servant on a suicide mission that ends in her fall from grace, this man has garnered a respectable amount of fan hate. Taking him down at last is kind of satisfying.

* CripplingOverspecialization: Not so much in the first chapter, where he's so powerful that Lorelei really is all he needs. But when if he rejoins you temporarily in Chapter 8, his refusal to use anything except Lorelei (to the exclusion even of healing items) becomes much more of a hazard.
