* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Eve-2 has several shades of this throughout the game. She knows Aya has potential power and would rather convince her to join her side to take over the world. When that doesn't work, Eve-2 attacks the NYPD precinct that Aya works at in order to distract her while Eve-2 runs off to a hospital to get a sperm sample so that she can impregnate herself and create the Ultimate Being. When Aya shows up at said hospital, Eve-2 cuts the cables on the elevator that Aya was in to make her fall to the basement and then cuts the power to trap her there. If you try to take the stairs, Eve-2 destroys them to keep you in the basement. This buys Eve-2 enough time to get the sample and escape.

A second, unrelated Mitochondrial Eve (possibly, see ContinuitySnarl) takes over the body of New York opera singer Melissa Pearce in the ''VideoGame/ParasiteEve'' game with the same goal as her predecessor of creating the Ultimate Being. Eve-2 dissolves a solo performance crowd at Central Park into raw genetic material and allies with [[spoiler:Melissa's former doctor, Hans Klamp]], to procure sperm for her Ultimate Being. Aya Brea fights her several times around New York, but is unable to seriously stop her plans.

A mysterious, ancient evil that wants to reverse humanity's symbiotic relationship between the nucleus (banks of genetic information that dictate what cells grow where and when) and the mitochondria (organic power plants that fuel cellular activity). To this end, she takes over the body Kiyomi Nagashima, wife of mitochondrial expert Toshiaki Nagshima, and forces her to crash her car. Toshiaki cultures some of Kiyomi's liver cells, giving Eve a place to grow a body, and one of Kiyomi's kidneys is transplanted into fourteen year old girl Mariko Anzai, whom Eve mutates the womb of so it can give birth to the Ultimate Being. [[spoiler: After obtaining some of Toshiaki's sperm and implanting it into Mariko, Eve dissolves, unable to keep up with the energy output needed to sustain her own body.]]

* CursedWithAwesome: Aya's mitochrondrial powers lack the villainous insanity and BodyHorror that other people in this series go through--[[spoiler: she received the "special" mitochondria when she was still a child, and unlike Melissa, Aya's mitochondria evolved to the point where they are symbiotic with her body and work with her instead of taking outright control]]. However, they also keep her body younger than she really is, since a youthful host is advantageous.
-->'''Aya''': (looking in a bathroom mirror) ''Here's looking at you, kid, I look like I'm in my early 20s... It's nice, but there's a reason. It's what my mitochondria want. I never asked for this. A youthful host is advantageous. [[ShoutOut I saw a movie]] [[Film/{{Highlander}} about a medieval knight who lived into this century]], [[WhoWantsToLiveForever I don't want that]]... [[IJustWantToBeNormal I just want one, normal life]]...''

* {{Expy}}: Lessee here, beautiful with blonde hair and blue eyes, has a secret connection to the main villain who spends most of the game trolling her or trying to drive her crazy, and has a unique genetic trait that gives her special powers. Are we talking about Aya or [[FinalFantasyVII Cloud Strife?]].
