* ChronicHeroSyndrome: Feels the need to save every single spirit she comes across and turns them into a Shinki, despite already bearing he burden of many.

* VillainHasAPoint: For all his flaws, Kugaha is absolutely right when he points out that Bishamon's insistence on [[ChronicHeroSyndrome saving every spirit she comes across]] has made her weak and done nothing but fracture the Ha clan. It's such a point that even Bishamon is forced to acknowledge that he's right, in the end.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Implied in his MotiveRant when he explains why he does what he does to Bishamon. The images in that section of the chapter suggest that he was a normal guy who suffered an experience which made him lose all faith in the Gods and humanity and turned him into the callous sociopath that he is today.

* VillainHasAPoint: Given what his implied StartOfDarkness is, when Yato and company are brought before [[spoiler:Amaterasu]], Yato realizes just how flawed Heaven really is and that perhaps Father has a good reason for wanting to bring it down.

* {{Determinator}}: [[spoiler:In her second fight with Yato, she is even more corrupted than Yato was when Yukine was being punished, but continued to fight. Even after she is emotionally and physically exhausted, she still finds the strength to euthanize her shinki after the fight.]]

* {{Determinator}}: Deconstructed. [[spoiler:In her second fight with Yato, she is even more corrupted than Yato was when Yukine was being punished, but continued to fight. Even after she is emotionally and physically exhausted, she However, that continued fight led to nothing but pain for her Shinki, made her oblivious to the slaughter of the rest of her clan at the hands of the Masked Ayakashi (she kept blaming Yato), as well as blind to Kugaha's manipulations. She still finds doesn't give up until Kazuma nearly sacrifices himself, forcing her to realize how much her pushing through has caused harm to the strength very people she wanted to euthanize her shinki after the fight.save.]]

Added DiffLines:

* {{Claustrophobia}}: He can't handle enclosed spaces, especially if they're dark, having a FreakOut if left alone in one for very long. [[spoiler:Considering how it's heavily implied that he died after being BuriedAlive, this is very much justified.]]

* ImmortalLifeIsCheap: The Ebisu we first meet, and evidently several version before him, were willing to throw their lives away to pursue a method to control phantoms due to having been raised with the knowledge that he'll never truly die and another version of him will always be reborn. It's not until Yato questions what ''this'' version of Ebisu wants that he begins to consider the possibility of acting in self-preservation.

* {{Expy}}: Formerly an incredibly powerful warrior who killed people but left that life behind to serve as a goofy wandering bum who falls in with an ActionGirl and a BrattyHalfPint. One might be inclined to see shades of [[Manga/RurouniKenshin Himura Kenshin]] in there.
** Can also be seen as an expy of Kenshin's more or less parody [[Manga/{{Gintama}} Gintoki]], another LoserProtagonist who gets {{no respect|Guy}} from his peers who has seen many battles. Prefers not to kill, but does it if necesary. Has a TwoGuysAndAGirl team who's like his family. He's practically homeless, gambler, drinks a lot, and a huge [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass moron]] at times. He has InferioritySuperiorityComplex, many wants him dead, and is an [[TheAtoner atoner]]. And his [[spoiler:father figure is also the BigBad]].

* {{Expy}}: He looks shockingly similar to Yukio Okumura from ''Manga/BlueExorcist''. They even have the same seiyuu. They're similar personality wise too, being the voice of reason to a being with immense potential for destruction, with the twist that in Yukio's case, it's not needed and in fact doesn't come from a good place like Kazuma, who does his duty truly out of care, loyalty, and love for Bishamon.
** Also perhaps may evoke images of Matt from ''Manga/DeathNote'', particularly in his interactions with Bishamon (who could be seen as [[RuleSixtyThree Girl Mello]].)

* {{Expy}}:
** A pretty solid one of [[Anime/CowboyBebop Vicious]]. Both are implied to be former partners with TheHero, both are considered {{Evil Counterpart}}s to said hero, both [[TheDreaded instill fear into the otherwise unflappable hero]], and both are AxCrazy [[WhiteHairBlackHeart scary looking psychopaths with white hair]].
** Bears some resemblance to Udō Jin'e from Manga/RurouniKenshin. A contemporary of the hero who targets the hero's friends in an attempt to reawaken an older, more savage version of the hero from the past.
