* SissyVillain: Downplayed with Micky. Micky is conflict-averse and InTouchWithHisFeminineSide; only a "villain" by proxy of being an Overlord and having a side-gig as various games' FinalBoss. Ophelia and Dryzen both bully him for their less-moral gains and Zetta's opinion of him is bupkis. He gains [[spoiler: [[TookALevelInBadass the ability to assert himself if you beat him in the Post-Game]]]], gifting you his Phantom Double as thanks.

* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Downplayed. Typically, a group of homicidal uber-psychos would be constantly flailing at each other for power, yet the majority of the Overlords cling to Zetta out of curiosity rather than opportunity. When the trope does come up, it's typically for gags (often at Drake's expense).

* JokeCharacter: Downplayed. Alex has impressive defenses and HP at the expense of sub-par attacking stats, which would make him an excellent StoneWall...in a game where defense mattered. Between the inability of characters to block enemy movement and the OneHitKO nature of the Post-Game, Alex is unable to do the thing he's built for and thus has to either fall back on a signature weapon his INT is too weak to wield, use a weapon only specific enemies are weak to or use ATK-based weapons at the expense of his personal fighting style; all while characters with better offensive power overshadow him.

* PresentAbsence: PlayedWith. During Chapters 6 and 7, Babylon is fearful for the arrival of "The One," a cosmic judge that cursed him into draining his own Mana just to survive. Mentioning him sparks paranoia from ''all'' of the Overlords other than Zetta and Salome, and even she comes around eventually. The entire tail-end of the game happens because Zetta supposedly kills him and gets hit with the same curse; forcing Alex, Seedle and Salome into action.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Deconstructed. "The One" is a seemingly-minor character nobody brings up until mid-way into the game, yet the mere mention of them kicks off numerous DisasterDominoes that culminate in the game's final act...Until TheStinger reveals that the curse so integral to The One (at least the one placed on Zetta) was a RedHerring meant that forced him into CharacterDevelopment and probably didn't exist at all; putting the very legitimacy of "The One" as a character into question. For all the talk surrounding this GodOfOrder, they didn't actually effect a whole hell of a lot. Or did they?

The One is the universe's cosmic arbiter of order and the reason why Bad Endings aren't a thing. Maybe. Jury's still out on that. Whatever he is, only a certain senile Overlord has survived his curse.

* TheCameo: Alex, Petta, Pram and Zetta have all gone on to cameo in later Nippon Ichi titles to various degrees.

* WhoNeedsEnemies: The truce between the Overlords is stable enough but the group is a melting pot of agendas - Zetta's a SmugSnake towards everybody but Babylon, Pram is scheming past everybody, Drake is constantly vying for power grabs, Alex ambushes Zetta repeatedly, Salome hates everyone that isn't Zetta and Seedle hates everyone that isn't Seedle. The only two close to "nice" are Babylon and Micky and even they're seasoned conquerors with casualities under their belts. The Overlords can certainly get along, but everyone treats Zetta's plight like a drive-in movie and is obviously out for themselves through the whole thing.

* AffablyEvil: Despite their statuses as monstrous rulers, the Overlords are for the most part civilized toward one another....at least by EldritchAbomination standards. They do sometimes take potshots at each other and have agendas of their own, but there's less in-fighting than expected.
* CardCarryingVillain: Everyone except Trenia, per their status as Overlord.
* DimensionLord: Every member of the cast is, to varying degrees, uber-powerful lords of entire realms that they manage (Yes, even Drake). Trenia is also able to stand amongst them despite not being one herself, which confuses everyone at some point. [[spoiler: Until it's revealed she's [[CosmicKeystone the spirit of the Sacred Tome]]; indirectly making her ''the'' Dimension Lord among even them]].
* WhoNeedsEnemies: The truce between the Overlords is stable enough but the group is a melting pot of agendas - Pram and Micky bicker a lot, Drake is constantly vying for power grabs, Alex ambushes Zetta repeatedly, Salome hates everyone that isn't Zetta and Seedle hates everyone that isn't Seedle. The Overlords can certainly get along, but everyone treats Zetta's plight like a drive-in movie and is obviously out for themselves through the whole thing.

Granted, he didn't think it would destroy his Netherworld and unintentionally, but it's all played for laughs.he was tricked into it by an equally-unassuming Pram.
