* HateSink: Chuck is a rotten and bratty kid who has no respect for others and does not accept any of his faults. Even as an adult, he has not matured one bit, still hates Spencer, accuses Spencer of all the things ''Chuck'' did to ''him'' and throws cupcakes at him in court. One could say he is a kid-friendly version of [[Series/GameOfThrones Joffrey]] [[EnfanteTerrible Baratheon]].

* JerkassHasAPoint: For as awful and unpleasant as he is, he's right that so many of Carly's so-called "pranks" ended up physically hurting him, which is why the judge sides with him when he sues Carly for his injuries.

* ActionGirl: She's quite athletic and willing to resort to violence to get her way. She's kwown in her school for being a good figher, even able to defeat boys.
* AmbiguouslyJewish: Mentions Jews and Judaism frequently, has a fetishistic obsession with ham and bacon, uses Jewish inflections such as "oy", and mentions having a Bat Mitzvah in one episode. [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]], according to this exchange from "iBust a Thief."

* BadassAdorable: A petite blonde who is also very strong and can kick ''anyone'''s butt. She is very threatening, despite her cute appearance.

** In "iLook-a-Like", Spencer is shown in a much more [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness mature demeanor, actually saying no to Carly for once when she asked tofilm the show at an MMA fight. When Carly demanded when Spencer become 'uncool', he coldly retaliated by calling her out on 'acting a baby whenever she doesn't get what she wants'. In fact, he became highly pissed off when he discovered she actually sneaked out to see the fight]].

* ManChild: He is a sculptor for a living, often making whimsical and sometimes weird sculptures that usually end up catching on fire or exploding before being perfected. He loves light-up socks, has a pet goldfish (that he often forgets to feed, resulting in ''another'' pet goldfish), and once went to law school for three days. Carly even calls him a "manchild" in "iLove You" and he calls himself one in the series finale.

* AbhorrentAdmirer: He has a strong obsessive crush on her and makes a series of advances on her during their first encounter, none of which Carly welcomes. She was quite disturbed to learn that he was her boyfriend in the Christmas alternate universe.

* CutLexLuthorACheck: Despite being very young, he's obviously a pretty good computer tech or hacker or designer and such, and could probably make more money making websites if he didn't bother trying to shut down iCarly.com with various wacky schemes.

* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: In "iPity the Nevel" he has a HeelRealization. Although he goes back to his old ways at the end of the episode, showing even if he tries to redeem himself, he is always going to be like this. He seemingly reforms after marrying Prunella, but both of them soon go back to messing with Carly, though mostly out of boredom rather than any actual malice.
* HappilyMarried : [[spoiler:He has his close friend Prunella Pitz pretend to be his fiancé in his scheme to marry Carly. However, Prunella ends up falling for him for real and Nevel is so touched that they get married for real.]]

* NerdyBully: Despite being wimpy and odd, he is a bad tempered kid with great computer skills and a popular blog. When Carly rejected his advances he set out to make her "rue the day" and had since become a recurring villain always attempting to take down iCarly. One episode had him go so far as attempting to get Carly brutally beaten by an MMA fighter in what was meant to be a fun publicity match.

** In "iHalfoween" he blames the iCarly gang for not helping fix his reputation after the backlash he got for screaming at a little girl on camera in "iPity The Nevel". Except the gang did help salvage Nevel's reputation only for him to piss away any good will by then yelling at a wheelchair-bound man who accidentally bumped into him.

* WhatHaveIDone: Has this reaction to his HeelRealization.

* InnocentlyInsensitive: During Sam's birthday roast she (and the others) accidentally make Sam feel self conscious about being such a tomboy when she amusedly recalls a sleepover where Sam stole her bra, filled it with pudding and put it in the freezer to harden into bolas she threatened the household with the next morning.
* [[MrExposition Ms. Exposition]]: She often shows up to tell the characters something that plays a role in the episodes plot (like how a comedy Tv show has been stealing iCarly's ideas).
* WaterGunsAndBalloons: In one episode she and Sam throw mayonnaise filled balloons at Ms. Briggs' car.

* DirtyKid: Implied, judging by his reaction while reading a booktitled [[Literature/FiftyShadesOfGrey "Nifty Shades of Beige"]].
* EarlyBirdCameo: Guppy first actual appearance is during the credits of "iSpeed Date", as a 5-year old Gibby who likes cheese.
* ExtremeOmnivore: One time he ate Spencer's hair on iCarly.com.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: In his debut episode, Guppy emulates his brother's habbit of taking out his shirt.

* UncannyFamilyResemblance: Because he ''is'' Noah Munck's real life younger brother. Their resemblance even had Spencer mistook Guppy for his brother.

* BunnyEarsLawyer: He's very lenient towards his students, and does not believe in discipline. Franklin is willing to overlook Sam's poor grades and bullying of other students in favor of Sam contributing to the comedy on [=iCarly=], which he is a fan of. In "[=iGot=] Detention", after Sam seriously injures Mr. Howard, Franklin accepts Sam's notion that it was an accident and not a malicious attack which is why he was hesitant to give Sam a detention.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Though suprisingly, he's one of the most ''sane'' teachers.
* CrazyPrepared: After Freddie tries getting detention on purpose by dropping Franklin's phone to the ground while he was using it, Franklin gloats that his phone is indestructible due to being made a harder shell design and does nothing to punish Freddie whatsoever.

* OneOfTheKids: He likes to hang out with the iCarly crew, especially since he and his kids love their webshow. He's the only adult at the school who has a sense of humor and enjoys laughing.

* TokenMinority: Russ was (for a while) the show's only black actor, a major recurring character as the school's principal until T-Bo arrived and was promoted to the main cast in Season 6, then the revival added Harper and Millicent as main characters.

* TookALevelInKindness: He mellows out a bit towards the end of the series. In "iParty With Victorious" he's nice to Carly's boyfriend, Steven, when he shows he's actually quite intelligent and his punishment for Sam and Carly texting in class is quite reasonable, having them read them aloud. While he does try to shut down Gibby's restaurant, [[VillainHasAPoint it was being illegally run on school property.]]

* LoonyFan: Her obsession with iCarly makes Mandy look ''sane'' by compairson.

* ManipulativeBitch: In both of her appearences, she plays up her FreudianExcuse to trick the iCarly gang to do as she wants them to, not revealing her true motivations until they're already in her trap.

* PsychopathicManchild: Even ten years after the original series and years of therapy ridding her of her violent tendencies, Nora has not gotten over her obsession over Carly and Freddie. She continues to follow them around (going as far as to climb all the way up to her apartment) until Carly tells her to stop.
* RedRightHand: Danielle Morrow has one brown eye and one blue eye due to heterochromia. This helps show that Nora isn't just a lonely nice girl.

* TheSociopath: She's even refered to as one InUniverse. She even admits it herself.

* VillainousBreakdown: Between appearences, she got ''a lot'' crazier as a result of being locked up in prison. She also begins to lose it quite a bit towards the end of "iStill Psycho".

* LadyInRed: For her date with Spencer, she wears a tight fitting dress.
* MisplacedRetribution: She had a nasty habit of punishing her students whenever she was broken up with. She even gave Carly an F on a quiz ''she never even took'' [[EvilIsPetty just because she's her ex-boyfriend's sister]].

* {{Yandere}}: She becomes extremely clingy to Spencer and invades his privacy as much as possible.

* WomenAreWiser: Carly is more mature and wise than her brother Spencer. Averted with Freddie who also serves as StraightMan along with Carly.

* AmicableExes: With her childhood crush Freddie. In the 2021 revival series, they continue their friendship on cordial terms and often share their life issues with each other.

* ChildhoodFriendRomance: With Freddie. They've known each other since sixth grade (age 11) and he has always had feelings for her but she kept turning it down, merely seeing him as a friend. After briefly dating him in Season 3 and hanging out more often in the sixth season, Carly kisses Freddie in the original series finale, implying their budding love. Though it takes until season 3 of the revival for the two to become an OfficialCouple.

* GiveGeeksAChance: She passionately kisses [[spoiler:Freddie]] on the lips one last time in the original series finale before parting ways.

* LoveEpiphany: Shortly after [[spoiler:Freddie]] just risked his life to rescue her, Carly becomes smitten with him and she passionately kisses him, reciprocating his love for her. [[spoiler:She does it again in the original series finale. Upon realizing her feelings for Freddie (who is upstairs in the studio packing up all of his tech stuff), she places her palm on his hand and they kiss for several seconds before parting ways.]] Then in the revival [[spoiler:episode "iMake New Memories]], Carly finally tells Freddie she has feelings for him and they finally become a real couple.

* MilitaryBrat: Notable in that her father has been deployed so long that he's never been seen in-series.

* RescueRomance: Carly becomes lovestruck and enamored with Freddie in Season 3 when he rescues her and his heroics win her heart.

* TookALevelInJerkass: Sam was a colossial bully and a grade A jerk from the get go, but she takes level after level. A couple of her points include the episode she bashed Freddie with a tennis racquet and chucked him out of a treehouse for a differing opinion, and then later starting a basement sweatshop using elementary school kids to mass produce their Penny Tee Shirts.

* DatingWhatDaddyHates: Dating What Mommy Hates, in his case. His mother did ''not'' like Sam or Carly dating him. She hated Carly for "causing" Freddie's accident and said that she should have gotten hit instead. A bit ironic when she initially ''wanted'' Carly to date Freddie and when she ''does'' kiss him, Mrs. Benson's furious. Then she hated Sam because, well, she's a delinquent who bullied Freddie. There was an episode where she spent the entire time trying to break them up.

* OfficialCouple: With Carly. Freddie and Carly ''finally'' enter a real relationship and end up together in the third season of the revival.

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Any time his BigBrotherInstinct surfaces, he is a strict killjoy and set rules for Carly in "iLook-a-Like" and "iDate a Bad Boy", out of concern for her well being. Could be a result of the events of "iWanna Stay With Spencer" with Spencer undergoing CharacterDevelopment to prove to his disapproving grandfather that he is a responsible guardian for Carly.

* PromotionToParent: To Carly, in the BackStory.

* TookALevelInJerkass: Due to being dumped off-screen by Carly in between Seasons 1 and 2, he and Wes are ''much'' more petty and rude towards her in "[=iGuess=] Everyone Just Hates Me Now", to the point of the two making a webshow dedicated to badmouthing her, and mocking her for being unable to find love when she tries to make amends with them. Unlike Beau however, Wes still displays ''some'' kindness to Carly, praising her on stream for defending Freddie's new girlfriend, Pearl, as well as refusing to go along with Beau's misogynistic rant about how all women are the same.

* DisappointedInYou: While he loves Spencer as a grandson, Granddad Shay doesn't has a high opinion on him due to his immaturity and his descision to drop out of law school and become an artist. Even after Spencer became rich, Granddad still doesn't think very highly of Spencer.

* CharacterDevelopment: Freddie was a bit of a scrawny, wimpy, timid and dorky victim at the beginning of the original series and struggles socially, which in one episode he realizes is part of the cause of his bullying problems rather than just his geeky nerdiness due to his rotten luck and unpopularity. Over the course of the series, he grows a spine, gets tougher, cooler and becomes more resilient, able to withstand adversity and courageously stands up for himself. As the show progresses, he learns to be confident and becomes more optimistic and outgoing. By season four he is much more street-smart, charming and confident teenager version of a tough, cool guy and a straight example of a CoolLoser protagonist.

* CoolLoser: In later seasons. He's not nearly as dorky, socially awkward, scrawny and wimpy as he was before, but is still pretty much loathed or ignored by some people. Notable in that neither of his best friends are unpopular.

* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Ms. Briggs is fairly the reason Carly started her web show in the first place. As she punished Carly for something Sam did, but Carly took the blame for, by making her hold the auditions for the school talent show which she was supposed to do, but refused to allow any of the kids who Carly and Sam recommended be in the talent show. This gave Carly the idea to start iCarly to allow all the kids who Ms. Briggs wouldn’t let me in the show off their talents.

* TheGhost: While Sam isn't in the 2021 revival, she is mentioned fairly often, as Carly hasn't forgotten her former friend.
