Formed in 2008, Shugo Chara! Egg was a GirlGroup consisting of four Hello Pro Eggs dedicated to performing the theme songs to ''ShugoChara''. Each girl represented one of the four main Character Changes that protagonist Amu Hinamori could do. The original line-up consisted of Yuuka Maeda (Amulet Heart), Akari Saho (Amulet Spade), Kanon Fukuda (Amulet Clover), and Ayaka Wada (Amulet Diamond), but when three of these members were promoted from Egg status to form S/mileage, they had to be replaced. In ''Shugo Chara! Party!'', the girls hosted the live-action segments of the show. The group was disbanded after the show ended in 2010.

Kira☆Pika was a sub-group comprised of Koharu Kusumi from Morning Musume and Mai Hagiwara of C-ute with the purpose of performing the ending theme songs to ''Manga/KirarinRevolution''. Kusumi was already portraying protagonist Kirari Tsukishima, both in voice and in person on the children's variety show ''OhaStar''. To promote the group, Hagiwara would play a similar role as Hikaru, a CanonForeigner designed for the show.
