* PunchedAcrossTheRoom[=/=]HomeRunHitter: A great deal of his techniques will send enemies flying, lesser {{Mooks}} especially. Dragon Kick is one of the more notable cases: not only does Gene actually [[BraggingThemeTune Dragon Kick their ass]] [[ATwinkleInTheSky into the Milky Way]], but he sends them on a round trip [[JustForPun to boot]].

This young lady is actually one of the last surviving members of the clan that has guarded the Godhands for centuries. She barely escaped the massacre of said clan, entrusted with one of the God Hands by her father. She is saved by Gene when she's attacked by Bruce and Felix, and gives Gene the God Hand as a gift of "thanks" -- because she now has someone to order around and stop the demons from overthrowing humanity. But if Gene has the right God Hand, where is the left one?

* AncientOrderOfProtectors: As mentioned above, she was a member of the local one. She managed to get the right God Hand out of the ambush, but the left one was lost in the confusion. [[spoiler: Her being one of these also makes her immune to the powers of the God Hand.]]

* JustHitHim: You'll probably be thinking "C'mon now, Gene. You literally have the force of God in your right arm, are you gonna let some hatchet-wielding Playboy bunny boss you around?"

* BonusBoss: The rematch against him in Level 7 is not required to advance to story, and he'll only fight Gene again if he destroys the monolith furthest from the starting point in the desert.

* BonusBoss: The second guitarist will only fight Gene if the player checks the bodies of Ravel and Debussy after defeating them.

* DarkChick: The hedonistic, dominatrix variety, who doesn't care too much for the team's goals as long as she has her own fun.

* HijackedByGanon: [[spoiler: Hid in Azel's left arm, which acts as a catalyst to invade the human realm]].

* BaldOfEvil: Felix.

* BeardOfEvil: Bruce.

* ItsPersonal: Some time in the past, Bruce and Felix were harassing Olivia. Gene, pre-God Hand, tried to step in, only to get his arm cut off. Gene, post-God Hand, is not happy to see them at all.

* WhipItGood: Conchita carries a whip.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: When some of his demonic minions show disrespect to a dead human they're throwing in a grave, he punches them to the moon and does a respectful gesture towards the grave.

The player character of ''God Hand'', Gene is a 23-year-old wisecracking drifter [[BloodKnight who really likes beating people up]], and firmly believes that he has a "macho" exterior. However, he earnestly has a strong sense of justice and upon witnessing a young woman being attacked by a gang of demons, immediately runs in to save her. Things don't go quite as planned, and Gene ends up getting [[AnArmAndALeg his own right arm hacked off]]. The woman, named Olivia, shows her gratitude by replacing it with one of the legendary God Hands. With this new power, Gene is now fully capable of going toe-to-toe with even the most powerful of demons... [[ComesGreatResponsibility but he is also obligated to rescue those under the yoke of Demonkind]]. And if he doesn't comply, Olivia will simply take the God Hand back, [[AnAxeToGrind preferably with a hatchet.]]

* AnAxeToGrind: Olivia carries around a hatchet.

* {{Expy}}: Her [[HornyDevils demeanor]] strays pretty close to two other Capcom demonesses: [[VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}} Morrigan]] and [[VideoGame/DevilMayCry3DantesAwakening Nevan]].

* HornyDevils: She's a succubus.

* BalefulPolymorph: Capable of turning people into dogs.

** PlayedStraight in his final fight against [[spoiler:Elvis]], and even after. After he takes him out for good, he says that if things were different they may have been friends, and when [[spoiler:Shannon]] mocks his death, Gene in an outrage [[[WhatDoesHeSeeInHer asks what he even saw in her]].

* PetTheDog: PlayedForLaughs. Although he's normally a disrespectful bully towards virtually every enemy he faces, he shows genuine concern for Great Sensei when he trips and falls during his intro cutscene.
* PointlessBandAid: For some reason, Gene has a band aid on his left cheek.

* NiceHat: The second time he shows up, he's wearing a new helmet made from his robot bird. Very snazzy.

* CampGay: They speak in very feminine voices, they are prone to yelling [[DoubleEntendre "Here I come~!"]] before attacking, and their outfits include feathers. Not so much CampGay as [[UpToEleven Entire National Wildlife Preserve Gay]].
