Added DiffLines:

* GreiviousHarmWithABody: They will be able to body slam opponents. Even if the character itself is fairly lithe, the sheer weight of what they're wearing will make up for it.

Added DiffLines:

* StatusBuffDispel: They can destroy their opponents tension using Morale Masher.
* StatusAilment: They can blunt their opponent's attack, as one of the last skills they will learn.

Added DiffLines:

* MeditationPowerup: Meditation heals their wounds.
* ScreamingWarrior: They can War Cry at their enemies, causing them to flinch and lose a turn.

Added DiffLines:

* ReligiousBruiser: Most of what they can do involves praying and invoking deities, and they can dish out decent damage if they have a spear or staff.
* UselessUsefulNonCombatAbilities: Their Divination tells the player the amount of experience needed to reach the next level, and Benediction exorcises the player of curses. The first has no combat use and the second rarely comes into play, and both are easily available at any church.

Added DiffLines:

* TurnsRed: They can buff up their magical might by becoming angry.

Added DiffLines:

* UselessUsefulNonCombatAbilities: Their ability to dig pitfalls is not useful in single player mode.

Added DiffLines:

* BerserkButton: They can invoke an enemy's button by whistling and taunting.

Added DiffLines:

* CriticalHitClass: They have a lot of deftness-boosting equipment available.

Added DiffLines:

* BreathWeapon: Their earliest skill, Hot Lick, is essentially a firebreathing magic trick.

Added DiffLines:

* CounterAttack: They are the best class for this.
* CriticalStatusBuff: Spry in a Crisis lets them suddenly be able to dodge and counter even more than they usually do, but only when their approaching death's door.
* DanceBattler: Trained minstrels know how to tap dance around attacks

Added DiffLines:

* FragileSpeedster: While it's slight compared to Thieves, they do end up favoring dodging and countering as opposed to brute attacking, defense, or magic.

Added DiffLines:

* StageMagician: While they can use actual magic, a lot of their skills are based of the tricks of a stage magician.

* HumanityEnsues: After waking up from his fall into the Angel Falls pond he finds he's lost his wings and has assumed an opaque mortal form.
* ISeeDeadPeople: Part of your job as a Celestrian is to help restless souls to the afterlife. Seeing things that are InvisibleToNormals is one of the few powers he has that allows him to demonstrate he's no mere mortal to Stella.
* MadeOfIron: This appears to be one of his main leftover powers. At the beginning of the game, he falls from the apex of the Observatory to the surface of the Protectorate, and is up and about after some sleep. About two-thirds of the way into the game, he falls from the sky again, and is up and about -- again -- after some sleep.

* Protectorate: The Hero is installed as the guardian of Angel Falls at the beginning of the story, but events force him to wander abroad from home.
* QuirkyBard: Always starts as a Minstrel. Amusingly, this is due to the people of Angel Falls taking one look at your character's Celestrian uniform and thinking, "Well, he's dressed like an idiot, what else could he be?"
* RookieRedRanger: Functionally, he's TheLeader of his party and a newcomer to his general responsibilities as a Celetrian, but since his party consists mostly of non-entities, he might as well be flying solo.

* WeAreAsMayflies: The hero -- who is apparently quite young (given his comparative proportions and smaller wings) -- is specified as being "less than 300 years old". While this appears to be a throwaway line, it takes on a new meaning when you learn about everything that happened 300 years ago.

TheHero (or Heroine) of IX, a Celestrian who has recently begun their training to become a guardian, protecting the mortal realm and tending to the Great World Tree, Yggdrasil. But when something goes horribly awry, the trainee winds up stranded in the mortal realm, and at the start of a perilous journey to learn the root of the world's problems...

* AngelUnaware: The Hero spends most of the story stripped of his full Celestrian powers, but he is, in fact, the Guardian of Angel Falls. Bonus Points since one of the first things that happens to him is Erinn offering him the use of their home after he falls to Earth.
* Badass: While the battle mechanics themselves revolve around combat by a party of four, the story behaves as though the hero is doing this solo, which means all of the accomplishments in story lie at his feet.
* BrokenAngel: He loses most of his powers at the beginning of the story, including foremost his Invisibility and wings.

** BroughtDownToBadass: He still has no problem beating monster butt, even in the beginning. He defeated the Hexagoon, which had been implied to have blocked the underground roadway to Cornwell for years!
* CantDropTheHero: Justified -- he's the only real character in the party.
