Added DiffLines:

* TranquilFury: It is incredible how patiently and calmly he waited to avenge his wife, Kanae. Let this sink in: When Yhwach caused his wife's death, he silently did a multi-day autopsy to find the cause (so coldly his son was traumatized to never become a doctor until he discovered the truth), found the cause, made it into a weapon to basically kill Yhawch, and patiently waited almost a decade to kill him with it; all the while never losing his composure once. All that said, you understand why even ''Urahara'' is worried about getting on his bad side.

Added DiffLines:

* VitriolicBestBuds: He'll never admit that Isshin is basically his only friend

* {{Flanderization}}: Subverted. He starts off as goofy and slightly neurotic before appearing to be used in the manga only to freak out over something. Then the Deicide arc occurs and he turns out not only to be incredibly calm and rational under extreme stress, but he actually realises that fighting supernatural threats requires a zanpakutou. He therefore obtains one from an unconscious Soul Reaper so that he can ''fight Aizen'' to buy his classmates time to escape. Fortunately, the unconscious Soul Reaper wakes up and stops him before he commits an HeroicSacrifice. Unfortunately for the anime, the anime team clearly never expected the Deicide arc to ever happen, because his goofy antics are dialled UpToEleven in {{filler}}; at one point he makes a joke about Ichigo seeing something that he can't and within thirty seconds he's literally running away screaming.

* BigScrewedUpFamily: In flashback, Souken is so preoccupied with his duties that we never actually see him in person. His wife in particular seems deeply frustrated by his absence. By his death, Souken's relationship with Ryuuken had deteriorated to the point where Ryuuken tried to deny him contact with Uryuu. Ryuuken expresses severe disapproval of his father's history of stealing Quincy artefacts, causing Isshin to suggest that Ryuuken's open disdain for Souken only encourages further estrangement from Uryuu.

* BigScrewedUpFamily: Ryuuken has become progressively estranged from his family, severing ties with first his father and later his son. Growing up, his father was frequently absent, leaving him to mediate between his frustrated mother and his fiancee. Ryuuken now refuses to have anything to do with Quincy matters, attempted to prevent Souken from training Uryuu, and disapproves of his father's habit of stealing artefacts from the Vandenreich. Uryuu became so angry with Ryuuken that he now refuses to call Ryuuken "father" or live with him. Isshin suggests to Ryuuken that his open disdain for Souken only encourages further estrangement from Uryuu. When Kanae dies, Ryuuken performs her autopsy, something Uryuu accidentally witnesses and assumes Ryuuken is doing it because he's a doctor. Unable to fathom how a doctor could cut up his own wife, Uryuu vows to never become a doctor. The final battle reveals the truth about the autopsy (it was a Quincy matter, not a medical one) and the epilogue reveals that Uryuu is now a doctor at his father's hospital, suggesting the pair have managed to make peace with each other.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: Ginjo's statement that Fullbringers' mothers suffered pre-natal Hollow attacks sets up an expectation that Masaki was attacked by a Hollow in her youth. The reveal is that the Hollow attack concerned was part of Aizen's Hollowfication research using an experimental new ability called [[TheVirus Target Hollowfication]].

* GenkiGuy: He's extremely excitable and tends to throw his all into whatever activity strikes his fancy. Mizuiro tells Ichigo that Keigo does actually have academic talent, but Keigo is far too busy throwing his energy into crazy and comedic activities to study properly. His typical greeting to Ichigo is a full-blown charge, completely with battle cry that usually ends with Ichigo clothes-lining him to the ground. He engages in slapstick to cheer people up and is rarely quiet or still.
