*** It could be argued that Solas and Blackwall switch roles three times during the game. Initially, it seems that Blackwall, a gruff but humbly noble Grey Warden, is the Betty to Solas' bookish but arrogant and mysterious elven apostate. Blackwall then becomes the Veronica when . The roles switch back when Blackwall and Solas .

** Merrill versus Sebastian is harder to figure out, but as Sebastian is a pious, honorable human prince and Merrill, although good, is an elven outcast who practices forbidden blood magic, Merrill seems to be more of the Veronica. However, Sebastian was a Veronica in his youth and he does have a dark, vengeful, and arguably power-hungry side.

* Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog has a few cases of this, most notably with the outgoing and flirtatious Amy (Veronica), to the shy and reserved Blaze (Betty).
** In VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006, shy and introverted Elise is the Betty to Amy's outspoken and independent Veronica.

* Depending on what you choose and social links, the main character of VideoGame/Persona 4 can have this. Though his romantic life can go to many other female characters, Yukiko (Betty) and Chie (Veronica) can easily be this.

* VideoGame/Persona 2: Innocent Sin has our protagonist Tatsuya (Archie) pick between Lisa (Betty), his fellow schoolmate who has a very obvious crush on him, and Maya (Veronica), a cheerful teen magazine reporter. However, this game also has a gay CherylBlossom in Jun. Guess which one the fangirls go for? Meanwhile, male gamers tend to lean towards Maya.
** Lisa and Maya's Betty and Veronica-ness is pretty subtly blended between them - the Lisa/Betty, Maya/Veronica dynamic only stands firm at first glance. Lisa is somewhat exotic to her Japanese peers, being of European descent, wealthy (look at her family's house!), and comes off as a bit haughty, playing up her Veronica-ness. Maya, on the other hand, is genuinely kind and supportive, of modest means, and though far from a YamatoNadeshiko is still the more quintessentially Japanese of the two insofar as what's considered "desirable" in a love interest.
* Then in Eternal Punishment, when Maya becomes the protagonist, she also becomes a gender-inverted Archie on her own, with the Suou brothers as the love interests. The older brother Katsuya, being closer in age to Maya, earnest to a fault, and Adorkable underneath it all, is the Betty, while Tatsuya here is the stoical, mysterious, and edgy Veronica.
* Some variants of this appear for the Social Links in VideoGame/Persona 3: the male protagonist has three love interests among the playable party; he can hook up with two more [=NPC=]s and to develop a crush on him as well, but his party members fit the dynamic better. Mitsuru, with all of her elegance, coolness, and absurd amount of wealth serves as the Veronica, while cheery and popular yet unpleasant Yukari serves as the Betty. A twist on this trope is that Yukari becomes the jealous one if she's the chosen love interest. Shy girl Fuuka Yamagishi functions as a ThirdOptionLoveInterest, fitting neither category.
** The same thing applies if you pick a female protagonist in the UsefulNotes/PlayStationPortable version of the game: while he's seemingly aloof, Akihiko is actually a rather Adorkable awkward, affable, and caring Betty, while the brooding and unfriendly yet ultimately gentle Shinjiro is the Veronica. While both are similar in hiding their softer sides, Akihiko is more open and friendly than Shinjiro is. Ken, once again, doesn't fit either category - not only is he more of a ThirdOptionLoveInterest, he's also Shotacon a kid.
* VideoGame/Persona 4 has our protagonist dealing with four female party members like this: the tomboyish Kung Fu enthusiast Chie and the proper and refined, yet otherwise modest Yukiko are both Bettys, whereas the excitable and flirtatious idol Rise and the quiet, awkward cross-dresser Naoto are Veronicas.
