* TheHuntForRedOctober gives us Marko Ramius taking out an enemy sub, with his own totally unarmed. The President, National Security Advisor Jeff Pelt, DCI Arthur Moore, and DDO Robert Ritter gets theirs by successfully tricking the Soviets into buying a totally false cover story, and flushing out a long standing traitor.
** Jack successfuly taking out the GRU agent hiding in the Red October's missile bay.
* Alekseyev's impromptu command of 20th Tank Division's breakthrough in RedStormRising certainly counts.
** Let's re-emphasize that: he takes command of a headless division not even an hour before the attack begins, leads them in a breakthrough of NATO lines, takes an APC to the front lines, and then personally calls down artillery on NATO tanks trying to stem the breakthrough. And then refuses to return to headquarters, even after nearly being killed by an airstrike, until CINC-West makes it an order.
* Patriot Games Jack Ryan's foiling of the assassination attempt in the beginning of the book is acknowledged in-universe. Later, he scares the piss out of the psychopath who's been gunning for him in the whole book, and Sergeant Major Breckenridge gets a CMOA for making sure Jack doesn't cross the MoralEventHorizon (though justified).
* The Cardinal of The Kremlin features Jack pulling off a magnificent XanatosGambit to screw over the KGB chairman, rescue the titular Cardinal, and prevent a Russian power struggle.
* Clear and Present Danger gives us the badassery of Chavez's unit (barely about platoon strength), taking down the great majority of a company and half of druglord mercenaries, in what is aptly named the Battle of Ninja Hill. We also get Badass John Clark making the Director of Operations at CIA damn near piss himself in fear of the guy, and he also gets one where he avenges some fallen soldiers in the most hardcore way possible.
** Clark also manages an awesome heroic KickTheSonOfABitch on Admiral Cutter.
** Ryan brings in a Gunship Resque for the last team with an Air Force MH-53 Pave Low, with three Gatling Good miniguns, one of which Jack mans. Cue asskicking as the assembled mercenaries are slaughtered.
** Jack gets one that overlaps with CrowningMomentOfHeartWarming when he swears to the dying Sergeant Zimmer he will make sure his kids get into college.
** This requires a little elaboration for the awesome to sink in. Throughout the whole book, US government officials have been regarding people like Zimmer as faceless, expendable cats-paws to do their dirty work, make them look good, and in the worst cases, die and take their secrets to the grave so they don't get in trouble, and none of the people in and out of uniform doing the work of stopping narcoterrorism get any gratitude or acknowledgement from a government that even sinks to the point of cutting their own troops off and leaving them to die to tie up loose ends and cover their own asses, a fate Zimmer almost shares. Thankfully, Jack, of his own initiative, decides to make sure his death wasn't in vain and swears he will ensure the wealth and livelihood of a family whose father died in the line of duty, proving to the dying man he didn't die for nothing and that at least one of the people responsible for his fate is willing to repay his loyalty.
* Without Remorse is one novel sized CMOA for John Clark.
* The Sum Of All Fears gives us Jack Ryan's agile thinking and quick action, in which he successfully stops World War III!
** Cathy Ryan gets one for her pwnage of RichBitch Elizabeth Elliot. Clark and Chavez, on a related note, get theirs by helping Jack and his wife heal their ailing marriage.
* Debt of Honor gave us Clark and Chavez's rescue of Koga from CorruptCorporateExecutive Yamata's penthouse suite. Bonus points for visiting death on the man who coldbloodedly murdered an American woman earlier.
* Executive Orders Patrick O'Day (FBI agent) takes down some terrorists trying to kidnap Jack Ryan's daughter, and the Secret Service get theirs by killing the rest of them in platoon level numbers. Jack himself gets one for his RousingSpeech, in which he calls out the nutcase who tried to use biowar on his country and rats out his evil scheme to the world. He also manages to make the SmugSnake Indian Prime Minster realize she pissed off the wrong guy. And it would be wrong not to mention the conclusion of the book.
** The above glossed over some of the better ones. When the terrorists attack Giant Steps, agent Don Russel has less than a second of warning. He is armed with a 9mm pistol. He takes down three AK-47 toting assassins in seconds, and nails a fourth in the knee as he goes down. Patrick O'day, caught inside with a horde of kids, manages to convince the hostiles of his harmlessness, and then take them down with no collateral damage. His real CMOA? "See you around, champ." (Spoke to the dead Russel.)
** Don't forget the 15,000 National Guardsmen ripping apart 2 UIR army corps.
* Rainbow Six gave us a novel worth of BadassCrew Rainbow kicking ass. The ending is a rather unique CMOA for John Clark.
* The Bear and the Dragon gives us BadassGrandpa Senior Sergeant Gogol taking out a Chinese General with the same gun he sniped Germans with in WWII. It also gives the CIA a CMOA for causing the PRC to terminate a war by simply broadcasting the truth via the Web. We also get Jack, who does not want a retaliatory nuclear strike (and the resulting blood on his hands) on his conscience, so he voluntarily elects to stay at Ground Zero for the projected nuclear assault, which is successfully averted in a CMOA for the United States Navy.
** This bears repeating: Jack Ryan voluntarily landed his helicopter on a US Navy ship and sent it away, as a 5 megaton Chinese ICBM was descending on Washington DC like a meteor.
* The Teeth Of The Tiger gives us Brian and Dominic Caruso taking down a terrorist assault at a mall by themselves. Later, Jack Ryan's son gets one by taking down a high level terrorist operative with a death laden in Irony.
* Dead Or Alive gave us Jack Ryan Sr giving President Kealty a VillainousBreakdown with a brutally honest TheReasonYouSuckSpeech. On national television!
* In Red Storm Rising, the veteran SAS sergeant expressing his doubts at the usefulness of an Air Force weather officer, only to be epically put in their place by one of the Marines who had been following that weatherman all the way across Iceland.
-->Sgt. Nichols: Does he know what he's about?
-->Sgt. Smith: The skipper? I watched him kill three Russians with a knife. That good enough?
-->Sgt. Nichols: ... bloody hell.
** Granted, Smith had 'forgotten' to mention that the three Russians in question were unarmed and tied to chairs at the time. (They were being, mmm, informally executed for having been caught red-handed raping and looting.)
*** Only the last on was unarmed. The first was knifed from behind while watching the rape, the second was raping when the Air Force guy killed him.
