* Fitz discovers that a Duke is neglecting his duty to maintain the coastal watchtowers not because of malice, but because he's fallen in love with a servant girl, now his Duchess, and is doting on her and showering her with riches. She's not malicious herself, just naive. Fitz inspires her to be a leader, giving her the speech she uses to convince her husband to return to her duties (echoing Chivalry's own comments about the watchtowers in the process), leading her to become famed in song. She then goes on to be a leader and hero in the war.
