* After you defeat Flameman, Bass shows up, intending to face the strong. Match orders Flameman to face him, upon which Bass obliterates Flameman in a single strike, leaving a crater where he stood. He then turns to Megaman, his intended opponent, and you can't defeat him. It's a pretty frightening demonstration of how big a threat he is.
* When Megaman gets ambushed and cornered by the rank 6, 5 and 4 Navis and they throw a boulder at him when he has no room to dodge, Gutsman appears and shows off the fruits of his training by punching the rock into pieces and then finishing all 3 Navis with a Gutshammer. Rank 3 is impressed enough that he takes on Gutsman's appearance to fight Megaman.
* After Drillman's defeat, Bass swoops in and swipes Alpha. Megaman and Lan decide to unleash the Giga Freeze, only for Bass to catch it mid-air, revealing himself to be the other Chosen One that S alluded to. This builds on the hype for the eventual showdown at the end of the game, and later into the postgame.

* Cossak helps unlock the elevator for the cast to proceed through the WWW base, but encounters Bass on the way out. Despite just being a few steps from the exit, he instead turns to face Bass, and attempts to delete him with his own hands.

Lan can't reach the tank to jack in because of the constant bubbles being fired by the canon. Enter Dex, who throws a boulder on the tank that plugs the bubble cannon.

Misplaced, moving to the correct tab

* The postgame content for both the third and fifth games are each minor story arcs unto themselves, each culminating with a FinalBattle against a Superboss with some of the heaviest SuperWeight in the entire plot. As tough as it is to get there, the payoff is entirely worth it.

* Before the first Liberation Mission, Baryl outlines that only one operator can manage the whole team in a Nebula-occupied area, and appoints Lan for the job. Lan isn't so sure of himself... and then Baryl reminds Lan that he's already saved Net Society the WWW and Gospel, and even fought against Nebula himself before. It's a great aversion of DudeWheresMyRespect that had persisted across the rest of the series, and Lan agrees to the task right afterwards.

sword that hits harder than the three individual chips combined.
** Master Style: In Battle Network 3, using all four Style-exclusive Mega Chips creates this Program Advance, which causes [=MegaMan=] to split into his multiple Styles, which all take turns striking enemies and then coming together to charge a large explosion to strike the whole battlefield.
** Master Cross: In Battle Network 6, by selecting [=FireHit3A, AquaNdle3A, ElecPuls3A, [=FireHit3 A, AquaNdle3 A, ElecPuls3 A, and RskyHny3A=], RskyHny3 A=], this gives an advance that summons every cross form to appear and attack the enemy in a barragebarrage, much like Master Style in 3.

* The [=PlantMan=] scenario, where Lan and Mega Man [=MegaMan=] are kicking viral ass to save Mamoru from dying, was so ManlyTears after finally inspiring hope in him to undergo surgery that could cure his terminal illness; the whole scenario same one that claimed Hub's life. Even when [=PlantMan=] is a gigantic CMOA for defeated and the series in general!hospital doors are unlocked, the surgical equipment has completely lost power. [=MegaMan=], not willing to see another suffer his fate, risks his second life by using himself to jump-start the hospital equipment.

This "Awesome Moment" is just Backhanded Compliments with some barely hidden complaining to boot. On top of the obvious complaining, there's the issue that the entry has no context at all.

* Mega Man does something selflessly heroic and suicidally stupid at the drop of a hat to the point where it stops being awesome sometime around game 2. That said, the ending of [=BN3=] felt like they finally figured out how to do a proper Heroic Sacrifice with all the awesome due to such a moment. Even his resurrection after the credits is so well done as a [=CMOH=] that finally, FINALLY Mega has some Awesome in his pants. And then they hit us with [=BN4=]...

* Twice inside the Netopian Castle dungeon, Lan has to attach a wireless adaptor to a Jack outside his reach. How does he do this? By throwing it. Lan is somehow able to attach a wireless adaptor to a Jack-in port at range with perfect accuracy and confident enough in this ability that he barely hesitates before trying despite knowing that he won't get a second shot if he misses.

!!Battle Network 2
* Gospel honestly feels more dangerous than the WWW of last game. Likely due to how the leader reacts to Arashi and [=AirMan=] being defeated by blowing the man up.
* The major twist of the Gospel leader's identity as a kid Lan's age. Sure, later in the series we learn that he was manipulated, but the fact remains that a ten year old nearly brought the world to its knees.
* Earning an SSS License in the postgame will definitely make you feel like a badass. Among the things you need to do for it is track down the Navi Master, aka Yuichiro Hikari, aka Lan's father, and face him in a survival battle against every non-Gospel Navi in the game.

Bonus Boss was renamed by TRS

* Bass.EXE is a recurring boss throughout the series, and is without fail one of the most difficult fights the game has in store for you. Since you have to use everything at your disposal to win, each victory you score against him is satisfying, and some players will challenge him again for sport.

Asskicking Equals Authority has been renamed.

* The fight against [=Serenade.EXE=] has plenty of hype for it, as Serenade has been TheGhost and TheUnfought up to this point, and the BonusDungeon area bosses before have drummed them up as an imposing figure. When you finally come face-to-face with Serenade, you realize that they don't look the part... and then the fight starts and Serenade shows you how they got there. Figuring out the strategy and prevailing takes more than just brute force, and getting [=MegaMan=] crowned King of the Undernet for winning is the cherry on top.

* [=ShadeMan=], who's completely immune to [=MegaMan=]'s attacks, demands that he and Lan return the [=DarkChip=] they found. Out of options, [=MegaMan=] tosses him the chip... and then shoots it in mid-air, destroying it. [=ShadeMan=] is not pleased.
