!!''Home Alone 3''
* Alex taking out all four of the baddies via a series of {{Batman Gambit}}s and XanatosSpeedChess, with only objects lying around his house, his pet rat, and his brother's talking parrot. By the time the police arrive, three of them have been caught in his traps, and the last one gets caught by the parrot a bit later. No matter what you think of this movie, there's no denying Alex is one badass kid.
** Especially when you consider that, rather than bumbling burglars, the bad guys in question are highly trained spies.
** Alex bluffing the leader into thinking he has taken his gun.

!!''Home Alone 2''
* Kevin's TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to his whole family, topping it off by [[ShutUpHannibal calling his uncle Frank a cheapskate]]. What makes this even better is the look his parents exchange after he leaves--it's less one of anger or indignation and more "How did he ''peg'' him so well?!" Not to mention Fuller and ''Frank himself'' being just as stunned. It's even more satisfying in light of the events from the first movie. Frank called Kevin a "little jerk" during the pizza scene which [[StunnedSilence stopped him]] from explaining his side of the story to his mother. [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty Kevin finally got back at him for that]].
--> '''Kevin''': I'm not sorry! I did what I did because Buzz humiliated me. And since [[KarmaHoudini he gets away with everything]], I let him have it. And since you're all so ''stupid'' to believe his lies, I don't care if your idiotic Florida trip gets wrenched or not! Who wants to spend Christmas in a tropical climate anyway? ''(He begins to walk out of the room)''
--> '''Kate''': Kevin!
--> '''Peter''': Kevin, you walk outta here, you sleep on the third floor.
--> '''Fuller''': [[EmbarrassingDampSheets Yeah, with me]].
--> '''Kevin''': So what else is new?
--> '''Frank''': You better not wreck my trip you little sourpuss. Your dad's payin' good money for it.
--> '''Kevin''': [[SarcasmMode Oh, wouldn't wanna ruin your fun, Mr. Cheapskate]]. ''(Kevin walks out of the room; cue MassOhCrap from Frank, Fuller, Kate and Peter)''
--> '''Buzz''': [[IgnoredEpiphany What a troubled young man]].
* Despite everyone oversleeping, Kevin is the ''first'' one in the car. He reveals that he's all packed and claimed the front seat. Kevin also brandishes his passport and ticket, saying snarkily that he's not letting them leave him behind again.
* Kevin scaring the concierge out of his suite by using his recording of his uncle's singing and his inflatable Bozo the Clown pool toy.
--> "[[CallBack You better get outta here you little pervert! Or I'm gonna slap you silly!]]"
* Then later, Kevin uses the "Angels with Even Filthier Souls" tape to make his getaway from the Plaza Hotel staff.
* Kevin's mom slapping the Concierge.
* Previously, when Peter suggests that Kate stay at the hotel, she tells him she is willing to search the streets of New York for Kevin.
-->'''Kate:''' The way I'm feeling right now, [[MamaBear no mugger or murderer would]] ''[[MamaBear dare]]'' [[MamaBear mess with me]]!
* The entire premise of the trap sequence wasn't just to save himself or to save his family, but to literally save Christmas for New York City and the children in the hospital.
-->'''Kevin:''' You can mess with a lot of things, but [[ThisIsUnforgivable you can't mess with kids on Christmas]]!
** It also comes with another brilliant musical segue, this time from the touching and tear-jerky "Christmas Star" to the good old "Setting the Traps".
* Again, the traps. "Setting the Trap" returns as well.
* Marv gets one when Kevin tauntingly asks them if they have given up/had enough pain. He yells 'NEVER!' defiantly.
* The pigeon lady pulls off an awesome BigDamnHeroes moment by distracting Marv and Harry from shooting Kevin and then throwing bird food on them.
* When Harry and Marv are arrested and make fools of themselves in front of the cops, the head officer says in an annoyed, "I don't have time for this" tone, "Get 'em outta here."
** Even better, Kevin's plan to expose Harry and Marv is beautiful in its simplicity. When they break into the Duncan's Toy Store to rob the donation boxes, Kevin gets their attention and snaps a polaroid of them in the act. He then hurls a rock with a note through the window to activate the security alarm to distract the thieves so they'll leave the cash alone (Mr. Duncan and the cops later confirm the cash is safe). When the police finally catch them, Kevin made sure to leave a tape he recorded with his Talkboy of the thieves confessing not only of their plan to rob the toy store, but murder Kevin when they're done. In short, Kevin presented an orgy of evidence for the cops and ran off into the night to find his family. MagnificentBastard much?
* While searching for Kevin, Kate flags down an NYPD cop in Times Square, who basically tells her to trust the police to do their job. In response, she asks if he has kids. When he says yes, Kate asks, [[ArmorPiercingQuestion "And what would you do if one of them was missing?"]] This gets the cop to help her out, and his question -- "Put yourself in your kid's shoes. Where would you go?" -- leads Kate to figure out that Kevin's love of Christmas trees would lead him to Rockefeller Center, site of the biggest one in the city. Their subsequent reunion is a cross between awesome and heartwarming.

!!''Home Alone''
* Kevin using the "Angels with Filthy Souls" movie to scare the pizza delivery boy. And later when he does the same to Marv, only this time he adds firecrackers to make the gunshots seem more real.
* The first hint that Kevin is growing up is his demonstrating getting over his fear of the basement by simply snapping "[[ShutUpScaryThing Shut up!]]" at the previously scary furnace.
* Kevin staging a huge Christmas party with mannequins and a Michael Jordan cutout to deter Harry and Marv. Complete with "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee.
* ''All'' of Kevin's traps. Adding to awesomeness is the "Setting the Trap" song, which makes it sound like Kevin is setting up for a Christmas-themed war.
* The segue into the "Setting the Trap" music from the church choir singing "[[ChaosOfTheBells Carol of the Bells]]".
* Kevin manages to set all the traps up in ''less than an hour'', which includes rushing back home from church and even having enough time to cook dinner for himself, dinner which he didn't have time to eat and then defending his home on an empty stomach.
** '''Kevin:''' This is ''my'' house! I have to defend it!
* '''Kevin:''' "You guys give up, or you thirsty for ''more''?" Macaulay Culkin improvised that line.
* Old Man Marley [[BigDamnHeroes comes to Kevin's rescue]] JustInTime and hits Marv and Harry with a shovel.
** To the Wet Bandits' credit, they themselves pull off an impressive moment by managing to ''outsmart Kevin.''
* Leave it to a character played by the legendary Creator/JohnCandy to help Kevin’s mom reunite with him when all hope seems lost for her.
* A small examlple, but Kevin's reunion with his mom. While he's overjoyed to see her, he still hasn't forgotten how she treated him before. So he gives her the silent treatment just long enough for her to apologize, and then he immediately forgives her. For a young child, that is an incredibly mature way to handle a personal conflict, especially with a parent.
* The massed [=McAllisters=] making their flight to France.
