* All hail Frank Bryce, the only Muggle to ''mock'' Voldemort towards his face. True, [[spoiler:he did die, and he did shit his pants screaming when he actually saw what he looked like,]], but the old man had balls of steel, befitting of a UsefulNotes/WorldWarII veteran.

** Actually, he's probably a UsefulNotes/WorldWarI veteran since Voldemort murders his family after his sixth year at Hogwarts (and his fifth year was in 1942, fifty years before the chamber was opened in 1992). Or it could just be a case of WritersCannotDoMath

** He later shows up [[spoiler: as an "echo" during Harry's fight with Voldemort]], taking in a scene out of pure fantasy in surprising stride:
-->''(On Voldemort)'' "He was a ''real'' wizard, then? [[spoiler: Killed me, that one did.]]" ''(To Harry)'' "You fight him, boy..."

* The Quidditch's final. Hogwarts' matches has always been SeriousBussiness, but that scene makes it very clear that they were still child plays.

* Harry vs. the Horntail. The book has the Horntail just guard the golden egg, and stay in the arena. In the film, the dragon breaks free from it's bonds, and chases Harry throughout Hogwarts, including across more than a few roofs. Harry gets the upper hand by doing what he does best on a broomstick; swerving at the last second where no else could have, making it too late for the dragon to veer away and smashing into the bridge, momentum flinging it down below. Plus the special effects are absolutely ''amazing.''
