* Whenever Funimation license rescues a show that has been lost in license limbo for years it generally falls into this.
** Funimation's announcements at Anime Expo 2013 are the most notable example. Following the closure of Bandai, many fan favorites like ''Franchise/CodeGeass'' and ''LightNovel/TheMelancholyOfHaruhiSuzumiya'' were no longer legally available for Western anime fans. However at their industry panel that year they announced that they would be license rescuing some of Bandai's lost titles including the aforementioned titles as well as ''Anime/CowboyBebop'', ''Anime/WolfsRain'', and ''Franchise/GhostInTheShell''.
** As of recently their license rescue for ''{{Manga/Nichijou}}'' which Bandai briefly had the license for before shutting operations and was on Crunchyroll for a while but disappeared from their catalog. Funimation not only planned to put the title back on legal streaming but even give it the long-deserving home video release.

* Broadcast dubs have to be done at break-necks speeds. Dubs that not only need to go through the usual process of legal acquisitions, translating, script-writing, dubbing, and editing, but Funimation has to do this within the span of ''4 weeks after the episodes premiere in Japan'', to combat illegally pirated streaming! Funimation introduced the idea in 2014, picked up ''several'' brand new titles, and released the dubs on their site, and are still doing them!! So far no reports of breakdowns have been announced!!

** They not only gave ''Manga/OnePiece'' a far superior dub than when FourKidsEntertainment had it... they went so far as to ''go back to Episode 01 and redub everything with the new cast members, steamrolling anything [=4Kids=] did! And they caught up, and are now moving further in the show!'' Awesome.

* Their current working relationship with {{Toonami}}; not only did they allow Adult Swim the rights to air their classic anime like DragonBallZ and YuYuHakusho for free during their April Fools Day return, Funimation has also been working hand and hand with the network licensing their shows to air. Given that the Toonami block is a labor of love running on a shoestring budget, this says a lot.
