* In the season finale, Dexter bursting through a wall to escape the fire Lila created, covered in a burning sheet.

to:

* In the season finale, Lila kidnaps Astor and Cody so once Dexter bursting shows up to take them home she can kill them and Dexter by burning the place down. Through some quick thinking he gets Astor and Cody out after breaking the window which he can't escape through because it's too small for him, so he tries to break the chain on the door and fails, as he lies on the ground he has a flashback to the trip with Harry he had about his urge to kill as a child. Dexter then notices part of the wall that's burnt so much it's just the inner wall and he grabs a blanket and repeatedly slams against it with all of his strength and at the third attempt (By this time, the blanket's caught on fire and Dexter is feeling pain from the heat and from his slamming against the wall), he manages to escape slam through and thankfully Debra arrives just in time to put the fire Lila created, covered in a burning sheet.
on him out.
