* Jesse's turnaround at "The Underworld". He was on thin ice with Taffer for his misogynistic attitude and horrendous Beventel numbers. Taffer gives him a chance to prove himself during Stress Test, and performs exactly how you'd expect. He's about to quit, but decides he doesn't want to embarrass himself by doing so. Out of nowhere, he's suddenly pouring perfectly and giving the customers a great experience, impressing Taffer in the process. Taffer himself is even amazed by how many girls Jesse brought despite it earlier being implied he repelled them when one blocked his number. Any failures by that point are the fault of owners by not having enough change in the cash drawer or glasses.
** Fellow bartender Tracy had one of the lowest Beventel numbers in the show's history with only 44 ''cents'' given away.

* At The Bridge Lounge, a successful bar was run down after the BP Oil Spill and the death of the owner. The son clearly didn't mourn properly and allowed himself to be taken advantage of by his "[[WithFriendsLikeThese friend]]" [[LazyBum Garry]]. From the beginning, everybody, the audience, Manny's relatives, and Jon Taffer himself can see right through him as a manipulator, fraud, and worthless hack. Everyone puts him in his place as he feebly attempts to justify his failure. Throughout the episode, Manny blames himself clearly out of grief; but through Jon's and his family's encouragement, he finally grows a spine after Garry's lackadaisical attitude during the stress test and fires his ass.

* In the Kid Chilleen's episode, the female owner who would often get drunk (to the point that she didn't even remember meeting Jon Taffer the previous day) is told by Taffer that he would leave if she had any alcohol when he was there. During a bad stress test and some clear signs of alcohol withdrawal, a group of regulars try to get her to drink with them. She flat-out refuses. Even Taffer was impressed with this.
** Her husband too also deserves a mention. Like her, he was also going through withdrawal symptoms during the stress test, having nervous handshakes while trying to make and serve drinks. However, he pushes through without stopping, even managing to take up some of the slack left behind by the bartender Yum Yum's RageQuit. By the night of the relaunch, he's managed to stay sober, and is working confidently behind the bar.

** In another episode, one of the bartenders is caught drinking behind the bar, and she's instructed to clean up or get fired. She also has clear symptoms of alcohol withdrawal, but [[{{Determinator}} pushes through]] the entire stress test anyway. Moreover, she manages to keep a smile on her face and serve her drinks accurately and quickly. Considering [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_withdrawal the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal syndrome]], that's ''really'' impressive.

* Mia Mastroianni absolutely owning Greg Hawkins, owner of the 38th Floor (formerly Manadala Lounge) in a drink making challenge after he made a tack about female bartenders behind the bar. The woman can bite as well as she barks.

* The Turtle Bay episode. Taffer rescues a bar on Bourbon Street which [[ShoddyKnockoffProduct blatantly rips off]] the bar across the street and its signature drink. The result? Spirits on Bourbon, which draws over ''a million dollars a year'' thanks to the new Resurrection drink and skeleton cup, barber chair shots, and a haunted theme. By the WhereAreTheyNow episode, they've created a skeleton mascot, worn out enough barber chairs to fill a storage unit, and bought a custom hearse which doubles as a Mardi Gras parade float, and the owner has made enough money to invest in several properties along Bourbon Street ''and'' a delivery truck in the form of a hearse. According to Spirits' website, they've even been able to open a new Turtle Bay location elsewhere in New Orleans which captures the essence of the original.

* The owner in "Dugout", despite being forced into the business thanks to his former tenant not paying rent, manages to evaporate any viewer sympathy he could otherwise inspire by instead turning out to be one of the worst owners in the show's history. Despite his best employee proving herself, he neglects to follow up on his promise to promote her. His immensely disrespectful, callous, uncaring attitude to his staff extends to his customers as he serves drinks that are flat out offensive (a Hot Pussy Shot) and food he knows is contaminated. He drinks in front of Taffer's experts, and tells them they don't know what they're talking about. One by one his employees realize he's a lost cause and quit. In the coup-de-grace moment, the owner arrives to the relaunch uninvited and wasted. All his remaining employees and Taffer himself give up on him, walk out, and tell the customers not to waste their time with him. In the only failed relaunch ever, the owner walks into his failed bar wasted and still in utter delusion about where the fault really lies.

* Jon intervenes on behalf of an employee at the infamous O'Face Bar after its abusive manager launches an unprovoked attack on her. The infuriated Taffer issues an ultimatum to the owners: fire the manager immediately or else Taffer shall not rescue the bar. When they instead fire the girl who was attacked, Taffer nearly follows through on his vow. He's only persuaded back when the owners reluctantly fire the manager. When their ongoing personal drama and abusive practices do not stop, Taffer hits back with a full investigation of the bar's history, confronting the owners with a video showing them attacking their own bartender and offering their security money to rough him up further. Taffer [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech royally rips them a new one]] for every single one of their criminal acts and [[KnowWhenToFoldEm absolutely refuses to help any further beyond this point-of-no-return to rescue the bar.]] [[Recap/KitchenNightmaresS6E15AmysBakingCompany Sound familiar?]]

* A similar instance occurs in "Hideaway From Reality" when even after giving up on the bar, he goes back to show the staff that they did, in fact, call the owner the town drunk and then lied to him. The staff is at a complete loss for words, knowing they can't deny the video evidence. Before he leaves, Jon calls them out for putting pride and loyalty ahead of the business and the bar owner's wellbeing.

* Chung Ong's story of how he chased the American dream managing to own no less than 4 businesses before he turned 30 in "Fish Out of Blue Water". Even if the bar failed in the long run, you know that with his work ethic and ambition he'll be back on his feet in no time.

* The stress test during the Fort One/The Roc episode goes uncharacteristically smoothly. Bartender Ashley is left alone to tend bar on the upper level while all the other bartenders work the lower floor. Ashley performs so well that, near the end of the episode, Taffer invites her to come back to help him rescue a bar on a future episode. He also pays for her to go to bartending school, and she becomes one of his expert mixologists.
