* InvincibleMinorMinion: The Noise are truly dangerous {{Mook}}s. They can actively adapt, morph, mutate, and combine to form some of the strangest kinds of {{Eldritch Abomination}}s. The concert scene destruction in the first episode, for example, was comprised ''fully'' of {{Mook}}s and several {{Boss in Mook Clothing}}s. Episode 4 is the first episode to actually show a MookMaker and a Boss, if you would call it that.

* ProductionThrowback: The show loves referencing Akifumi Kaneko's other brainchild, the ''Franchise/WildARMS'' series. From simply reusing mythological references in similar context (Ka Dingir or Airgetlám come to mind), to borrowing quotes and catchphrases (Hibiki's ''heiki hecchara''/"it's okay, it's fine" comes straight from [[VideoGame/WildARMS2 Lilka]]), to outright references (such as the ''Your Honest Self'' book from ''VideoGame/WildARMS3'' making an appearance, the later forms of ''G'''s Nephilim looking more and more like recurring BonusBoss Ragu O Ragula, or ''GX'' turning the 2nd Division into an international intervention team called SONG in a blatant shout out to [[VideoGame/WildARMS2 ARMS]]).

* IWillFightSomeMoreForever: Every time the Noise show up in the first two seasons, local military units are always seen shooting at them little to no effect because of the Noise' phase-shifting abilities, and as a result die in droves.

** Taken to its logical extreme in ''AXZ'', where Elfnein discovers (with Maria's and Airgetlam's assistance) that the bond that connects each wielder with their Symphogear is their warm, genuine, desire to protect others. She uses this knowledge to complete Dr. Ver's [=LiNKER=] recipe with oxytocin, a real-life hormone that is crucial in social and maternal bonding.
*** Might lead to FridgeLogic if that is the reason why all Gear wielders are female.

* ThePowerOfLove: In ''G'', [[MadScientist Dr. Ver]] reveals that the power of the Symphogear system has nothing to do with will. Its driving force is ''love''. [[LoveMakesYouEvil Which he then uses to turn Miku into a weapon]], because he's the bad guy.
