Added context to most examples that needed it, removed The Short Guy With Glasses since there's no indication if Baryl is smarter than the rest of the band, and changed the handshake trope (because Arpegius and the manager are different species, but shake hands normally. Although since it may be an aversion based on my knowledge of the trope I'm unsure if it should stay or go.)

The film is a visual companion to Music/DaftPunk's second album ''[[Music/DiscoveryDaftPunkAlbum Discovery]]''; it does not contain spoken dialogue, instead using the full album as its audio with minimal added sound effects. Clips from the film were then turned into official music videos for the album.

Darkwood?

The idea of making a feature film to visualize ''Discovery'' was born early during the album's recording sessions. While Daft Punk initially conceived a live-action film, this approach was scrapped in favor of animation. Several styles of animation were considered, but that of Matsumoto was ultimately chosen because [[PromotedFanboy he was a childhood hero of the duo]].
