* LoadBearingBoss: Each of the BronzeTribe's asteroid-like ships has a small creature at its core which apparently causes the whole ship to blow up when killed. This is apparently because it both controls the ship's movement and when killed makes it self-destruct. Not that this actually works against Bellcross in particular.

* Expy: The Bronze Tribe are awfully reminiscent of the Zerg, being InsectoidAliens with a HiveMind and some PsychicPowers, which can survive in a vacuum, employ Living Ships and usually attack enemies with a ZergRush. In addition, you'll actually hear the Zerg larva sound effect used for Bronze warriors several times.

** They are also the only race to have clawed their way into space entirely by their own power. The Silver and Bronze tribes received some form of technological aid or uplift to have made it that far.

* SupernaturalFearInducer: In a rare heroic example, this appears to be what Dhienalia does to Phaeto when she psychically attacks him. His mind is flooded with images of terrified humans, he retreats very quickly, and for the rest of the series has a crippling fear of humanity that causes him to act irrationally. (Unfortunately for Dhienalia, serving as the conduit for all that fear is not healthy for a person's psyche either.)

* EveryBodyLives: Averted. Even though all the named cast lives, we still get to see some RedShirts blown up during Nodos fights. Some Mauve Shirts wasn't lucky during Yuty La's rampage. Let's not forget how the Bronze and Silver tribe destroyed the earth.
