* AdolfHitlarious: Vincent's boss looks like Hitler. He appears in episode 1 and later in episode 21. In the German dub, his voice in episode 1 is normal, regular German, but at some point between the episodes they apparently stopped giving fucks altogether and told the voice actor to go nuts with the stereotypical Führer accent for episode 21.

* LotusEaterMachine: A tactic frequently employed by battling Proxies. It is never directly stated, but the fact that [[spoiler: Ergo appears to use this on Vincent to get him to recognize that he is Ergo Proxy]] implies that this is a power that all Proxies have, possibly to limit to collateral damage of their battles.
