The story is set during the Qin Dynasty, and follows the adventures of a young boy named Jing Tian Ming and his protector, the master swordsman [[TheAtoner Ge Nie]]. As they travel, they come across and become companions to the Mohists. The Qin Empire hires Ge Nie's arch-nemesis Wei Zhuang to hunt them down. The first season featured 10 episodes, the second 18, the third 34, and the fourth (depending on which version you watch) 37 or 38. The fifth season may run even longer, and there will be at least seven seasons. Qin's Moon also has a SuperDeformed Spin-Off series, several {{Manhua}} adaptations, 3 OVAS, a [[TheMovie Movie]], a web game, and two mobile {{RPG}}s. In March 2016, a prequel series of ''9 Songs of the Moving Heavens'' has started airing on a bi-weekly schedule.

She later dies after playing one last imaginary song, leaving White Phoenix all by himself. White Phoenix then gets approached by Chilian and Wei Zhuang, who are the ones who planned the assassination, only to be told that he was too weak to prevent Ink Crow and Nong Yu's deaths.]]

* DemotedToExtra: Yue'er in Seasons 3 and 4; although she's officially the female lead, she gets less screen time than most of the side characters. Ge Nie also takes much less prominence than he did before, as the focus shifts to Tianming.
