* {{Badass}}: Grabowski easily beats up the rats with minimal help, and headbutts Teufel in the stomach with enough force to make him crouch. He also comments that swimming a "few thousand miles" through the ocean used to be piece of cake for him.

* DeadpanSnarker: Many characters to some degree (Grabowski, the mouse police chief etc.). But the queen of this trope is Candy. She rarely talks but almost every line she has is snark.

* ShoutOut: More than in the original film... to ''{{Franchise/Tarzan}}'', ''Disney/TheLionKing'', ''Literature/TheLordOfTheRings'', ''Franchise/StarWars'', ''Film/GodzillaVSMechagodzilla'', just to mention a few. The title (meaning ''Satan's Cat'') itself is a ShoutOut to [[Literature/SherlockHolmes The Hound Of The Baskervilles]] (called ''A Sátán kutyája'' (''Satan's Hound'') in Hungarian).

* ShoutOut: More than in the original film... to film. To mention a few:
** Torzonborz is a FunnyAnimal {{Expy}} of
''{{Franchise/Tarzan}}'', ''Disney/TheLionKing'', ''Literature/TheLordOfTheRings'', ''Franchise/StarWars'', complete with VineSwing and SignatureRoar. Specifically, at one point he surfs on a tree like the [[Disney/{{Tarzan}} Disney version of the character]].
** There is an AnimalStampede of cape buffaloes in front of a rock looking very similar to the Pride Rock from ''Disney/TheLionKing''.
** Moloch's gigantic red eye looks exactly how the Eye of Sauron looked like in ''Film/TheLordOfTheRings'', complete with being on top of something tall and black (the tower of Barad-dur and Moloch himself).
** The opening text roll, besides being a MythologyGag, recalls ''Franchise/StarWars''. Later in the movie, a mouse military leader asks where the Imperial Stormtroopers are, only to be told they're in another movie.
** The BehemothBattle between Moloch and the Cat Catcher resembles
''Film/GodzillaVSMechagodzilla'', just to mention a few. as {{lampshaded}} by Mr. Teufel.
**

* BehemothBattle: The mice unleash [[HumongousMecha the Cat Catcher]] on the gigantic demon cat Moloch. The fight is [[LampshadeHanging explicitly compared to]] ''Film/GodzillaVsMechagodzilla'' by Mr. Teufel. [[spoiler: Eventually, after not being able to beat each other in physical combat, the two giants switch to a game of {{poker}}.]]

* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Teufel immediately saw through the flaws of the experiments Safranek presented to him, as well as the mice's plan to help Grabowski get the plans into safety, and intercepted him on his way.

* MightyWhiteyAndMellowYellow: The relationship between Grabowski and Csino-san is a nod to this trope. Csino-san, the pretty Asian woman, although is shown to be quite competent herself when it comes to fights, still comes off as a FlatCharacter due to getting very little screentime, and immediately falls for the Western [[TheAce super-agent]].[[note]][[ComicallyMissingThePoint Although both characters are grey rather than white or yellow.]][[/note]]

* LiteralSurveillanceBug: The cats use a robot fly that releases a microphone down a chimney to spy on Grabowski and Poliakoff. Grabowski destroys it by setting fire in his fireplace (despite the fact it's a warm summer day).
