Waternoose]]]] is genuinely friendly with Sully, and is sincerely regretful when his plans require [[spoiler:trapping him in the human world]]. Even after [[spoiler:he has Sulley banished seemingly forever, Waternoose still defends his old friend's reputation and snaps angrily at his [[TheDragon Dragon]] Randall for insulting him.]]

* Captain Boomerang from ''WesternAnimation/BatmanAssaultOnArkham'' might be a callous murderous jerk, but he's also clearly a ton of fun to be around when he's "off the clock". After gearing up at the Iceburg Lounge he's seen having a pint with some of Penguin's minions, all of whom are laughing hysterically and toasting one another. It's this and Deadshot's ConsummateProfessional nature that makes them mortal enemies over the course of the movie.

* In ''WesternAnimation/SpiderManIntoTheSpiderVerse'', Doctor Octopus starts quirky and approachable, and ''continues'' to geek out over every (however, now, turbulent) reappearance of the Web-Head. There's just that scene in the middle where the scientist accelerates from tying him up for a saliva sample to looking forward to seeing the interdimensional instability ''take Spidey apart'' to, as the picture becomes clear, the tentacles coming out.

* ''WesternAnimation/Frozen2013'': [[spoiler:Duke Weselton is this. He will kill to have his way (to secure trade advantages) but shows care and concern for his soldiers as well as the people of Arendelle.]]

* ''WesternAnimation/DespicableMe'':
** Gru is gradually softened into this over the course of the story.
** El Macho from the sequel counts too. It's pretty clear he's incredibly nice, even after he's revealed himself to be NotQuiteDead.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Anastasia}}'': Bartok is very much this, being loyal to Rasputin but at the same time, more interested in partying and having fun and even tries to inspire his master to abandon his vendetta against the Romanov dynasty and "get a life". He is not very realistic...

* ''WesternAnimation/TheJungleBook1967'': King Louie has a friendly appearance, is jolly, likes to party, has a cool taste in music -- and kidnaps Mowgli because he wants the boy to give him the secret of fire, which is like the ultimate weapon for the jungle animals.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheLEGOMovie'': Good Cop isn't ''that'' much less evil than Bad Cop, but he's a heck of a lot more outwardly friendly.

* Gabby Gabby from ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory4'' is a very polite, soft-spoken toy who definitely doesn't exude malice in the slightest. But she's very focused on what she wants, and will do morally-questionable things to get them. She holds Forky captive for information, but she treats him very well, coming to regard him as an actual friend. And once she has what she wants [[spoiler: Woody's voice box, which she doesn't even take by force, but by diplomacy]], she lets both Woody and Forky go without a fight. In the end, the "Evil" part of the Trope no longer applies, and even then, it only applied in the first place because Gabby was desperate.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheLandBeforeTime VII: The Stone of Cold Fire'': Pterano is arrogant, unscrupulous, and motivated by wanting to rule all dinosaurs. That being said, he's generally a pleasant guy even to his enemies and people he doesn't like, wants power because [[WellIntentionedExtremist he genuinely thinks him being in charge would be best for everybody]], and [[EvenEvilHasStandards refuses to hurt children]]. He even makes a HeelFaceTurn at the end of the movie.

* [[spoiler: Stinky Pete]] from ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory2'' behaves in a grandfather-like folksy manner. He genuinely believes he has Woody's best interest at heart and only wants what is best for him. He is, however, willing to force his beliefs on other toys if they don't listen to him, making him villainous despite his intentions.
** Gabby Gabby from ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory4'' is a very polite, soft-spoken toy who definitely doesn't exude malice in the slightest. They gave Ajar and his friends directions to find the humans who took Eva, invited them to stay for a feast, then sang them a cheerful song (about eating their visitors).
