Ange: I'm not sure I agree with the Five Man Band breakdown of the characters. For one, Corrine is canonically The Smart Guy. Given that the five are members of the Science Club, and "power" is more a question of smarts, I think Vaugh qualifies more as the Chick than Marshall, especially given the tragic past and the fact that he's in a love triangle with the Hero (I do agree on that being Josie). Lucas is definitely not the brightest bulb in the box, and the only thing that really qualifies him as The Smart Guy is being short and wearing glasses.

Sorry, reading this over I sound like a bit of a bitch. I'm not trying to, honestly. But if whoever did the breakdown could explain their reasoning for me, I'd really appreciate it.

Nexus: I was the one who originally put the Five Man Band breakdown up. I did it based on this reasoning:

Corrine: While she is the smartest one in the group, I think it was explicitly stated somewhere (possibly in the show itself) that Corrine is meant the be character with the most contrasts to Josie.

Lucas: The conspiracy theorist expert and generally the most stereotypically nerdy character. (Not a criticism on his character. Afterall...)

Vaughn: I placed him under The Big Guy for being the hot-blooded, hotshot jock of the team. And for being the biggest.

Marshall: Embodies the whole heart aspect of The Chick, IMO, being the one most concerned with keeping the group together and working as a team. Of course, there was that time where he thought of himself as The Load.

However, after having my memory jogged on more parts of the series that I kinda forgot about, I'll probably go ahead and switch the former two around; Lucas is probably in spirit closer to a lancer since he often disagreed with the group, the non-trusting member, often acted on his own, and even had a little hostility towards the hero due to a Love Triangle, though it's the hero that's the object of affection.
