- Nobilis features a deity - Ananda, Imperator of the Fourth Age to Come - who takes the "as superpower" variant to its logical conclusion. Those who look at him are pretty sure they're physically seeing him properly, but even the minds of other gods can't keep hold of the sight long to interpret it as a proper sight, let alone describe him to anyone else.
because it's literally the opposite of the trope. Ananda isn't non-descript; he's beautiful to the point where people have strokes looking at him, and gods can't describe him because language can't describe it.
