Working Title: The First Time Is The Hardest:
Jane: I took out the Tales of the Abyss
example. It said "Luke has a hard time learning how to kill people. Then kills one person and promptly merrily goes on a murder-spree wherever you guide him
", but that's not really true. In an extra scene with Jade, near the end of the game, it's revealed that Luke still
"lay[s] awake, shaking" all night whenever he kills bandits or Oracle soldiers. Luke kills people because it's absolutely necessary to save the World, but he certainly doesn't do it merrily, It actually Never Gets Any Easier no matter how many times he does it.
Panda: Half the subversions on this page and on It Never Gets Any Easier
are just examples of the opposite trope. They're not subversions.
