Working Title: Jumpy Word of God: From YKTTW

Noaqiyeum: What was the flip-flop on Fahrenheit451? Discuss.

Duckay: Whether it's about censorship or about loss of interest in literature, if I recall correctly.

Scifantasy: Pretty much. I'll add something to the main page.

  • Why didn't Chewbacca get a medal? Well, because medals are against the Wookiee religion, of course. Unless you were a member of the Official Fan Club back in 1978, when the Word Of Lucas was that he did get one, but Leia wasn't tall enough to put it around his neck at the ceremony.

Was that Word Of Lucas or All There In The Manual? —Document N

  • Narvi: The Battlestar Galactica thing is wrong. Edward J. Olmos actually said he would quit if they brought aliens into the show. He did say that he didn't think they would reach Earth, but he's not exactly a writer now, is he? Unless somebody provides a source verifying it, I will remove it.

Ununnilium:

  • Code Geass has a highly ambiguous series finale with plenty of evidence to support either of two outcomes: Lelouch is dead or immortal. Director and co-creator Goro Taniguchi has claimed that it was deliberately made for the viewers to decide for themselves, while writer Ichiro Okouchi has explicitly claimed that Lelouch is dead.
    • This was never a flip-flop; Taniguchi said "Decide for yourself" when asked whether the ending was happy or sad, the quote was taken out of context and misconstrued. The official word from the entire staff is, and always has been, that Lelouch is dead.

So yeah, not an example.

Sadly, the official Japanese name is not necessarily related to the official English name.

Cidolfas: But given that it has been used in an official English game as well, it's pretty obvious what it's supposed to be.

HasherBritarse Aww! I thought this was going to be about all those cartoons where the almighty wears gigantic open-toed sandale (and occasionally drops or loses one)
