- Conker's Bad Fur Day played this for laughs. They also had a dark-looking windmill standing in the middle of the world that you couldn't get in, only to have it destroyed before you get to the final level - Conker even mentions how weird it was that the windmill is destroyed since he thought it would be the final level. But then again, this game lampshades every game trope to hell and back.
What does destroying a windmill have to do with a Cutscene Boss? Your first line hints that there may be a Cutscene Boss, but you don't mention anything else. You just describe a location destroyed before you go there.
