Frankly i think this whole censoring thing is just stupit. If you dont want to see this sort of content then dont watch the show! Why should other people have to hand over there cash to see nudeity in anime just because your too sencitive! I HATE IT!
Andyroid: Geez, settle down, Larry Flynt. In most programs, people are watching for reasons other than nudity. Furthermore, no everyone in a show's audience has the same comfort level regarding nudity. There's a bajillion other reasons to use Censor Steam besides "we don't want to piss off Moral Guardians", and I'm not in the mood to list them here just to shut you up.
Pro-Mole: Getting off:
- In Neon Genesis Evangelion, there's a scene where Shinji is in the shower and is freaked out by Pen-Pen (not expecting there to be a penguin in his bathroom) and runs out to the main room buck naked; initially Misato's beer can blocks the pertinent area. Then, to the delight of Shinji-haters everywhere, she removes the beer can and all that blocks him is a rather humiliating box of toothpicks.
No need to answer, that were obviously rethorical questions.

Steve The Pocket: It occurred to me just now that this trope could be renamed "Vaporwear."
Robotech_Master: What do you call the trope where there isn't any censorship steam obscuring anything, but the naughty bits just aren't drawn in? (Like Ran in some of the openings/endings of Detective Conan.)
